Heavy thick syrupy. Color is very dark. Nose is of roasted coffee and chocolate, maple syrup. Taste is much the same as the nose. It is a bit sweet for me but not horribly. I wouldn’t want an entire bottle to myself again. PhillyCraft (7707) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2013
Tap at event, pitch black color, with medium coffee head, light lacing. Mouthfeel was pretty sticky, notes are roasty malt, strong coffee, maple wood, hops, molasses, oats and charred flavors. Medium to full body. Very warming on a cold vt night. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2013

Nice very dry stout for its high abv. Lots of cocoa and a bit of dark fruitiness. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 10, 2013
750ml bottle in a snifter. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, a little maple syrup, and light hops. Flavor the same, with a lot of maltiness and the right amount of maple. Thicker texture. A pretty good imperial stout.

Rich mountains of roasted malt and chocolate jump from my glass. Smooth, creamy body. Tasty blend of ingredients, lightly accented by sweet maple.
Really nice, and better than any of the BA versions IMO. Marheb (5982) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Loin d’être une expérience désagréable, elle a cependant pas le panache des meilleures imp stout. L’érable est vaguement perceptible et le reste est assez linéaire, bon sans plus. Unidimensionnel. weissch (5) - Mamaroneck, New York, USA - FEB 17, 2013 does not count
Dip-de-dip-dip-WOW! Sampled on draft at Applebee’s in the ruins of Constantinople. This was far and away the best "brauskie" we made the acquaintance of that fateful night, although the 1843 Närke Kaggen Stormaktsporter and 3046 vintage Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout (Bourbon Barrel Aged) were a close 2nd and 3rd. Close, but no cigarillo, heh heh heh.
The only way to describe the gustative qualities of this explicit adult beverage is through referencing the maltjuices which indubitably inspired said maltjuice. Namely, the Aguila del Sur Premium Negra, the Original Ritterguts Gose, and the Cigar City 110K+OT Batch #1 Der Rauch Gott. Gose, but no Cigar (City), heh heh heh. Get it? No, you don’t get it.
There are many ways I could describe the taste of the Lawson’s Finest Fayston. However, there even more ways I can NOT describe the taste. Please allow me to list a few. This beer does not taste like stale fireworks, Crispix, used K-Cups, Copenhagen, billboards, Crispus Attucks, or 60 watt lightbulbs. The smell, on the other hand, is quite easily defined. Whiffs of 75 watt lightbulbs, burnt parchment, severed limbs, attics, April 2nd, 2008, Crispix Attics, and chinook hops. Heh heh heh.
I’m going to be honest with you, immediately after consuming this beer, I rushed to the hospital and begged them to give me a vasectomy. The operation was a massive failure, in that I impregnated the doctor -- who was, in fact, of the male persuasion. Go figure ;-) 3 months later, Dr. Brett Knightly and I gave birth to a beautiful pair of siamese twins, one of whom was stillborn. After severing the straggler, we lovingly named the surviving twin Crispus Attucks. He later attacked us with a box of Crispix he found in the attic. Heh heh heh. Yes? No, I think not.
The mouthfeel: silky, slutty, stillborny, grayscale, bloody, surely, secretive, and fuckin’ great.

Pours a thick dark black with a dark brown head. Aroma of bittersweet chocolate, molasses and roast. Taste is bittersweet, chocolate and roast with slight sweetness. Coffee and hops in the finish. Very chewy. Complex impy stout with a little sweetness from the maple. I love this one.

Bomber shared with friends. Dark thick pour, good carbonation. Aroma has subtle hints of maple, chocolate and coffee bean. While this is a good imperial stout I was hoping the maple would be a little more prominent.
