Huge thanks to koopa for sharing this treat with me! Pours a hazy, pale golden orange color with tangerine edges and a 1.5 finger white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Dank, earthy hop aroma with resinous pine needle, grassy hops and a strong citrus/tropical fruit presence. Pale malt backbone with hints of biscuit, graham cracker and straw. Lots of mango, grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel character but it’s balanced by the earthier hop notes and subtle malt backbone. Medium bodied with a blast of earthy, piney hops countered by sweet citrus and tropical fruit notes. Grassy, dry and resinous with hints of curaçao, blood orange, grapefruit, pineapple and mango countered by a pale malt backbone. more earthy than sweet but still very well balanced with a delicious hop profile and just enough malt.

Bottle sampled at GABF 2015 with Andrew, Mel and Frank. Pours an orange body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of bright citrus fruits - orange, lemon and grapefruit, honey, some sugar and fresh pine. Nice stuff, but not on the same level as Lawson’s other hoppy offerings.

Bpomber poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, grapefruit and pine resin. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, pine resin and light grapefruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

From bottle at GABF 2015. Pour is clear orange with a big white head and sticky lacing. Spicy hoppy, earthy, lots of bread, caramel, touch of grass somewhat goopy aroma. Taste is earthy hops, bready, slightly grassy, straw, lots of orange peel and grapefruit with a touch of bitterness lingering on the palate. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad.

Draft at Three Penny, pours a hazy golden orange with frothy and large white head. Notes of orange hop, grain, honey, butt funk, oat and pine. She’s a pretty dirty tasting girl with a lot of bitterness. Medium bodied. Sweet smell but the booze isn’t too noticeable. It’s ok, but I miss the old days. Lacks any tropical quality

Bottle released 1 day ago. Dark orange with a cream head. Dank hops, pine and grapefruit, more of a candied malt balance than expected. Bitterness on the finish with moderate carb. Pretty much awesome all around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013-02-22 - tasting hosted by blankboy, with gregclow, jercraigs and mabel - bottle c/o blankboy. Hazy amber-gold, some tiny floaties, smallish off-white rocky head. Aroma is a bit catty, some tropical fruit - acidic, like the fruit wasn’t quite ripe, definite alcohol presence. Taste follows, a bit milder, less boozy - decent, liked the aroma more. Average body, astringent, not all that solidly carbonated, medium-length finish, a little dry acidity in the aftertaste ...

On tap in a flute/pint. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and slightly citrusy hops with a lot of caramel and pale malts. Flavor too light on the hops and too strong on the malts. Average texture. A decent beer but cannot compare to other Vermont IPAs.
