Golden straw-coloured pour. The nose is crisp and clear with a fresh, light sulphurous character. Clean, crackery and very fresh tasting. A fine kolsch indeed. ben4321 (6503) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 22, 2010

Aroma: Nose of grains/cracker/biscuit, some grass, citrus, and herbs
Appearance: Hazy yellow-gold color with a white head
Flavor: Taste is grainy, with a nice sweetness, malty, light bitterness
Palate: Crisp and smooth, clean, with a nice finish
This was a very solid Kolsch overall. A good one to get to try, and a nice example of the style. Fresh and enjoyable.
Bottle at Andy and Max’s fantasy tasting thanks to Jay. Hazy yellow, light with some grainy, biscuity corn notes. Dry, some light funk, bubbly and old fruit. Decent malrubius (2896) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - MAY 18, 2010

Bottle at Andy and Max’s fantasy tasting. Pours a hazy golden with a nice lasting white head. Aroma is grassy, herbal fresh german hops, good doughy malt with hint of crackers and bread. Flavor is also a mit herbal light grass some mineral, fresh pils malt and light sweetness, but finishes fairly dry and clean- a bit of yeast in suspension though and perhaps a touch overhopped, but still very fresh and nice!

Bottle I took to Andy and Max’s fantasy tasting, courtesy of a trade with sleepydave on BA. Pours a lightly hazy gold hued yellow with a medium sized white head. Crisp clean cracker and biscuit grain and faint lemony citrus notes. Medium bodied, faintly sweet, biscuit and cracker and grain. Clean crisp grain finish, with a light bitterness. Tasty and easy.
