3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From Farmhouse. Sweet aroma. Poured clear amber color with off white head. Sweet taste with hints of maple, brown sugar, caramel, and toffee. Very light bodied, almost watery feel. Overall, it’s something I’ve been wanting to taste for a while and while it’s an okay maple beer, there’s nothing interesting about it.
Bottle share courtesy of Steve H. Based on the name, was expecting big, in your face maple. Not so. Much more subdued than that. Faint maple in the aroma, again maple notes accent the malty body. It’s in there, but you have to look for it. GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 31, 2016
Golden brown with a nice beige head. Aroma is brown sugar, sherry, maple, dates. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a complex finish. Taste is brown sugar, maple, dark fruits, heather honey. Ferris (16101) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 30, 2016
Bottle - Sweet dark sugars and maple. Cloudy dark amber with a decent white head. Sweet dark syrup, light bitter roasty notes and dark sugars. Very sweet and decadent but not a big body. dlovell2 (2213) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 22, 2016
On tap at Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock, VT. Pours brilliant amber with an off white head. Aroma is malt with faint smokiness. Flavor is sweet caramel malt sweet maple syrup and sleeping and slight smokiness. Hands down the best maple beer I’ve had. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 21, 2016
On tap at the Mule Bar.
They poured this into a slim chalice.
The appearance was a dark copper almost brown color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Messy lace.
The aroma had a big sweet maple up front. Nice ample nuttiness. Smooth caramel malts.
The flavor leads maple to nutty sweet with a semi-sticky malty to maple syrupy aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with an exceptionally smooth semi-sticky feel. Low carbonation.
Overall, practically one of the smoothest American Strong ales that I ever had. Yes, I know that’s due to the maple, but hey, gotta give great credit to this one.

Tap. Mule Bar, Winooski, VT. Deep amber colour. Light haze. Firm ring of beige head. Nose has barley sugar sweets. Some maple syrup. Light candied fruit. Some dried fruit. Taste is sugary sweet. Some vine fruit dryness. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body. Finish loses the sweetness and gets fruity and vinous. Decent. gregwilsonstl (2574) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Smells like maple. Tastes....bizarre. Like a maple ice cream shake. It tastes good, but the palate is goofy. Weird creaminess. Tons of maple sweetness. Courtesy of ThePatrickMan. djd07 (15293) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 1, 2016
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is toffee, wood, maple. Medium mouth, caramel, pure sugar, boozy, good. slowrunner77 (12471) - Reno, Nevada, USA - NOV 1, 2015
1st and only slight miss from them. A touch flat and muddled. The maple sweetness is nice but that’s all there really is bedsides a touch of alcohol. Just ok. arnold931 (1263) - Iowa, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Bottle. Pours mostly clear reddish with off white head. Nose and taste is caramel and maple.
