Golden brown with a nice beige head. Aroma is brown sugar, sherry, maple, dates. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a complex finish. Taste is brown sugar, maple, dark fruits, heather honey. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 21, 2016
On tap at the Mule Bar.
They poured this into a slim chalice.
The appearance was a dark copper almost brown color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Messy lace.
The aroma had a big sweet maple up front. Nice ample nuttiness. Smooth caramel malts.
The flavor leads maple to nutty sweet with a semi-sticky malty to maple syrupy aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with an exceptionally smooth semi-sticky feel. Low carbonation.
Overall, practically one of the smoothest American Strong ales that I ever had. Yes, I know that’s due to the maple, but hey, gotta give great credit to this one. dlovell2 (2291) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 22, 2016
