Can split with my wife. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Big roast on the nose, cocoa, a bit of sweetness and a hint of paper. Big roast, cocoa. Medium bodied, lots of earthy roast and a soft bit of chocolate. Cocoa into the finish, a bit of warming alcohol. Tasty and warm.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is wood, maple, roast, dark chocolate. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, boozy, very good.

Potch black with a bubbly brown head. Very nice rum barrel character eith candied apples, brown sugar, maple candy. Full bodied, smoith and velvety, maple, and a beautiful warming rhum finale. It goes down so easy for such a big beer. Beautiful.

Black pour, medium sized brown head with some lace. Rum, roasted malt, light maple, dark toffee in the aroma. Rum prominent in the taste but compliments rather than overpowers the base stout. Molasses, Maple, roasted malt, dark coffee. No alcohol warming. Fuller body, slick mouthfeel.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a black color with a quickly dissipating off white to tan head that left no lacing. The smell had sweet maple rolling into the subtle sweet milk chocolate and roasty to bitter coffee tones. The taste was semi-sticky sweet through the combination of the maple and the milk chocolate. Boozy heat is mild, but there. Dry milk chocolate aftertaste with a robust semi-sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sticky sipping quality about it. Carbonation feels good allowing the stickiness from the maple hit my tongue nicely, almost cloying, but tame. Overall, really awesome Imperial Stout that I would love to have again.

Small format bottle. Black pour. Heavy on the roasted malts. Lots of sticky sweetness but not really a pronounced maple flavor. Definitely a rum presence.
