Citrus and spicy hops blend well with malt sweetness in the nose. Hazy copper coloured body is topped by a shy white large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to ring with scant lace. Flavour is as the aroma suggests with moderate to strong bitterness, citrus and spicy hop character and some caramel sweetness. Bitterness lingers. Medium light body with moderate carbonation is quite dry and somewhat thin for my taste. Seems like it could use a bit more malt character to support the hop bill. Snifter. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in February 2013.

Pours a cloudy orange with a thick off-white head and great lacing. Smells strongly of citrus, pine, fruit, and a smidge of rotten eggs. Taste doesnt really stand out, abundant pine and some grapefruit, not a lot of flavors here but is well balanced. Mild bitterness that lasts an eternity. Mediocre aftertaste. Above average but not by much.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color. Nose is fairly grassy with some bread elements coming through underneath. Taste is moderately bitter, and feels only moderately fresh to me, like the hops in there are just starting to turn. Still a pretty easy drink.

Bottle at Chrisos Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, acquired from the duty free shop at SEATAC, 10/08/13. Golden amber with a good sized off white/light beige head. Nose is light hops, orange, hint of plastic, citrus fruit. Taste comprises bitter orange, light caramel notes, grass, hops. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with light hop bitterness. Not what I really expect from a west coast IPA, more akin to an overgrown Golden Blonde, ok drinkable affair but nothing Id return to!
