Smooth amber flavor with a slight hop finish. Many imperial beers have too much alcohol, but this one is fairly balanced.
Draft pour at Special brews. Pours a copper red color. Not much head. Bready aroma and flavor. Super smooth flavor on this one. Nice malty finish. Overall a good beer. Enjoyed this one. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - SEP 15, 2014
Draught into a growler. Pours a reddish dark brown color with a moderate light tan head on there. Nose has slight bread in there and a moderate amount of caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with a small bit of toasting in there. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Sampled at SIBF 2010. Pours a golden orange. Effervescent, hop-forward, and definitely refreshing. Nothing fantastic, but I liked this one on a sunny afternoon. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2010
Sampled on tap at SIB, pours cloudy amber. Aroma and flavour of hops, roasted caramel malts and bread. Pretty good, nothing spectacular. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 9, 2010
Growler from the brewery. Pours a murky dark amber with ruby at the edges. Nice creamy off white head that hangs around for a little while, but not too awfully long. Rich toasty brown bread malt nose. Creamy medium body with mild carb. Toast, brown bread, molasses, and a bit of caramel on the mid-palate. Mild toasty finish.

Quite malty aroma. Flavor is fairly balance between malts and hops. Doesn’t seem 8.2%. Thinnish finish but good. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 21, 2009
tap at fremont oktoberfest. aroma hints at more complexity with hops and spices but the taste is just bubbly bitters with a meh palate thooper41 (556) - BELGIUM - JUL 27, 2009

Tap @ OBF... Poured deep amber with a beige head. Faint malt and candy aroma. Foamy, well carbonate palate. Malty, caramel and grainy. Some cocoa and buttery flavors. A little alcohol warmth and clean finish.
