Growler... Lightly hazed amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is quite subdued, but finally shares subtle notes of cookie dough, ginger, black tea and rye. Medium-bodied with dancing carbonation. The flavor is perfectly balanced, delivering pale malts, black tea, unmalted rye and the tiniest sliver of ginger. Finishes crisp and perfectly clean. Nothing really reaches out and grabs me by the balls here. Just a lazy-day, thirst-quenching brew with just enough rye and ginger to make things interesting. Ginger is one of my favorite flavors, so I was excited to try this beer. You can faintly smell and taste the ginger in this beer. Yes! wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Tasted on draft at the 12 South Winter Warmer in 2011. Pours clear bright orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to a thin collar of lace. The nose is ginger and spiced apple with some light earth and bread malt underlying. The flavor is lightly sweet bread malt up front, moving to tons of ginger, the spiced apple coming through lightly, and a hint of the earthy yeast. The body is light with lively carbonation and a long ginger finish. mikem409 (2029) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - JUN 11, 2012

Growler to pint (thanks mikem409). Looks solid; amber with low head. Smells good; ginger. Tastes decent; gingery with an average mouthfeel. Not bad. Newk (299) - - APR 23, 2012
poured from tap into a pint glass. Pours a medium amber color with a nice head.
lots of christmas fruitcake aromas along with ginger spices and some malts.
Medium bodied with a nice complete feel. Balanced with loads of ginger spice flavors and some malts.
A pretty good beer. The ginger was expected in the name, but it was very dominated for both the aromas and flavors. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 2, 2012
Growler pours courtesy of dcschiller, thanks Dave. Pours somewhat opaque copper to gold with off white head. The aroma has pretty smooth ginger bready notes as well as a bit of sweet crystal malts in the background. The taste has malt sweetened smooth ginger that rolls toward less sweet malts and slightly brighter and bigger ginger notes to midway and into the finish. I’m not a big fan of ginger enhanced foods or drinks but I’m liking this just fine. garmonbozia (450) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Nice orangish color. Nice hoppy, spice taste. Very thin mouthfeel. Detected ginger a bit, but not too much. Very refreshing and clean finish. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Growler from dcschiller. Clear apricot color. Aroma is loaded with great ginger and malt. Flavor had a huge ginger flavor without the common burning that ginger beers commonly have. Very nice.
