Indian Summer is a light profile American-style wheat ale spiced with Orange Peel and Coriander. Our recipe uses a mix of wheat and pale barley. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the spices to shine through. Clean fermenting yeast produce a very dry, crisp base to further accentuate the spices. The aroma has a distinct citrus note without being overly fruity.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light orange peel, grass, lemon, and a hint of spice. It pours a transparent dark gold with a two finger off-white head that has good retention. There are some nice soapy rings left on the sides of the glass for every sip. The flavor starts with a moderate dose of tangy citrus and wheat. The finish has some light orange peel, lemon, corriander, and a touch of grain. Its light bodied with moderate-lively carbonation. Overall, probably a better than average American Wheat that is a least worthy of being called an decent lawnmower beer.

Bottle. Cloudy gold color with a really big head. Aroma was slight orange with a touch of spice. Taste was weak. Some spicy, sweet citrus.

The nose on this beer is all coriander, and the taste isnt very different. Slight undertones of Orange zest, surprisingly un-hoppy. Im sure this would be very good on a hot day, but I can think of a number of beers Id grab first in the event of the inevitable Texas heatwave.

Hazy golden pour into pint glass. Really get the citrus notes. Resfreshing taste and nice finish. Not really getting the coriander. Too much other things going on with this one. Would def drink again. Not sure where it came from but should ask since it was a gift.

12 oz bottle from a BA trade from backlog notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, quite a bit of spices favoring cloves and coriander, some orange citrus, thin body, worth trying once.

Pour is a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is faint citrus and not much after that. Flavor is again a very faint citrus with almost no what malt to back it up. This is watery and almost flavorless.

12 oz. bottle served in pint glass. A bit past date on bottle. (from 2011 notes) A - hazy light golden with 1 finger of thick white head; exceptional retention Aroma - rather unpleasant sour smell T - Pils malt with mix(?) of spices, including coriander; some citrus flavor. Medium/light flavor is much better than aroma indicates, but too sour and with unfortunate flavor mixture. Decent finish. M - a bit crisp and a little astringent. Medium carbonation.
