Another beer at the Mellow Mushroom. This was the first and the least enjoyed. The wheat beers are not for my palate. The yellow color was clear and a nice head. I just was not impressed. I moved on to Amber Jacques. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

From a Party Pig. Poured a slightly cloudy golden color with a light white head. Very slight lacing. Very pleasant malty caramel aroma. Above average mouthfeel. Flavor was pretty wheaty, with a malty kick to it. A lot better than I expected, especially since I’m not a big wheat ale fan. But this is a solid wheat beer. jodyperkins (78) - Mississippi, USA - JUN 25, 2007
Techinically a wheat beer - but it’s only 1/3 wheat. This beer is promoted as their version of light beer - the craft answer to BMC.
It pours a very light gold color without much of a head. It was more similar to an American light lager than an ale. Not very strong - not much malt or hop flavor. Very light and easy to drink. pojo41 (315) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - JUN 6, 2007
Party Pig. Golden-colored and mostly clear. Good head but, it dissipates quickly. Crisp, with a slightly bitter after-taste. Thin mouth feel. Has a wheaty aroma. Not nearly as good as the Blue Heron.

Good beer, but kind of weak. Basically a low calorie wheat beer. I definitely prefer Lazy Magnolia’s Blue Heron and Indian Summer which are both wheat beers, but much better. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 30, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2007 Sampled from a Party Pig (plastic mini-keg). Strong sour wheat malt and lemon aroma. Clear golden yellow color with large head. Light sour wheat malt flavor. A very nice Am wheat - one of the better ones. JonnyC22 (164) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - NOV 17, 2006
This beer has its good and bad days for me. It’s a bit on the sour side, but pretty good if you’re ready to throw a bunch back. garmonbozia (450) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - AUG 21, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2007 Tap: This is not a bad beer. I am not big on wheats, but this one is surprising. It has a nice spice smell to it as it warms. It is a nice summer beer cazort (568) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2006
On tap. The aroma is unpleasant, but once you start drinking it it develops a bit, and becomes quite enjoyable. There is no unpleasant sourness, which is a huge plus. Very crisp and refreshing; unusual for a wheat beer. They’ve done a good job of creating a light, crisp, wheat beer that still has some complexity to the flavour. That’s quite impressive if you ask me. I would pick this one over many other American wheat beers, with the sole exception of Great Lakes’.
