Pours nearly clear amber with a heavy, off-white head.
Aroma is malty, bready, honeyed...
Taste is soft, sweet malt, honey...
A very slight bitter at the finish....
Decent. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 27, 2013
The beer is indeed golden, as promised. Atop the beer rests a small, off white head. The aroma offers sweet, fruity malts. The flavor is a bit underwhelming. Blonde ale character with some odd nail polish type weirdness. OK to try once, but not a repeat. radagast83 (8011) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUL 27, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 Poured a golden color, with a small white head. Aroma was pretty mellow, some light grains, sweetness. Flavor was notes of sweetness. novice101 (308) - - JUL 22, 2013
Pours a light gold color with a nice white head. Smells like honey right off the bat with very little of anything else except maybe a little bready. taste sweet and of honey, very light drinking beer. Not an impressive beer fiveacestx (970) - Texas, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Sampled at the Gulfport airport - not much head and a weak iced tea look to it. Light honey taste and a malty thin backbone. Not much to report here.

Bottled. Pours amber/gold with a nice head. Slight malty aroma. Biscuit / fresh bread flavor, honey is light, not too sweet. Very light overall but overall pretty easy drinking. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Tap, NOLA International Beer Festival 2012, labeled Nawlins Gold. Pours a clear dark gold with a nice foamy white head. Pretty minimal nose, just some light bready malt, a little doughy yeast. The flavor is much the same, bready malt, just a touch of bitterness, and maybe a little soapy note on the finish. Lighter bodied with fizzy carbonation. Your average Blonde Ale. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 2, 2013
Bottle. Honey and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet toffee malt and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Hint of honey in the finish. Not bad. sloshgator (741) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Lazy Magnolia Southern Gold is a smooth session ale that is a little on the mild side. Light amber pour with a decent head. Faint aroma of honey. Taste is on the bland side with the honey note returning on the aftertaste. Southern Gold has some nice honey flavors but falls flat on the middle. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - MAY 8, 2013
a pretty decent blond ale, with a kind of herbal tang in the background, guessing from the honey. pretty nice.
