Wood and pecan nose, caramel accents. Clear amber, thick cream colored sticky head. Overripe orange, lemon zest finish. Very subtle vanilla notes. Medium body, warm. Good intensity, barleywine-like.

Hazy deep yellow with a sizable head. A wall of lacing all the way down the glass as it’s consumed. Nice hopped up brew but it didn’t seem like a rye to me. Medium mouthfeel and not too dry. Looking forward to another

orange brown pour. Frothy head. Aroma of pine, caramel. Tastes peaches, rye spice, caramel, pine hops. Some syrup to the palate.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium foamy off-white head that slowly diminishes with rings of lacing. The aroma is hoppy with citrus and malt notes. Medium to full body with flavors of piney hops, grapefruit, pear and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering resiny hops aftertaste. I found this in AJ’s marked down area. Good deal!

Bottle. The look is copper to orange in color, off white head, and clear. The smell is hops, grass, fruit, and ok. The taste is about the same decent bitterness.

I am a DIPA purest, but do not generally favor rye styles. This beer, however, has become a go to double. I only hope it is not a seasonal.

[Tap] Light amber colored brew with a light amount of haze to it. About an inch of white foamy head on top. Potent hop aroma features orange and some pine. Hops overpower the rye malt in the flavor. Sweet orange zest, bread and mild alcohol also make an appearance. Long and bitter finish borders on astringent. A little heavy, but still pretty tasty.
