Appearance is a cloudy deep golden/light brown with an orange hint and a thick white foam cap. Aroma is very citrus forward, more oranange, mango, and tangerine. Taste is a spicy bready malt, a hint of tea leaves, grass, tangerine, and orange. I get a hint of brett, which is odd for the style. Mouthfeel is fairly light with high carbonation for the style. Finishes with a lingering grassy bitterness. Overall, not the most balanced IIPA but has an interesting hop flavor compared to other versions

Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pine, light peach and passion fruit. Taste is robust resin bitter with smoothing and balancing malt sweetness. Body is a tad too light but smooth and creamy with soft carbonation.

Keg @ Tanglewood. Amber pour with a small head. Nose of spicy rye, concentrated strawberry and apricot pie. Sweet and sticky autumnal fruit flavor. Tree bark. Rye. Medium body, oily and full. Decent.

12oz bottle shared. Pours a murky orange/copper color with an off white head. Nice lacing all around the grass. Nice malty nose with hop undertones. The flavor has a solid spice of rye in the front and Back. The hop is somewhat grassy and piney. Mixed with the rye makes for a great flavor. Overall a solid offering from lazy magnolia.

A dark amber colored body with small white head. Aromas of Rye, crusty bread, and piney hops. Flavors of nearly the same. I think it could be more balanced and that would add to the palate. The alcohol didn’t really rise through for a 9% ABV so that was good. All in all a pretty good brew and one that I would drink again.

Pours hazy orange.smell fruity citrus, earthy. Taste bitter pine, solvent, heavy on hops without regard for flavor. Some alcohol present it seems.full body crisp carbonation. Decent but unrefined and a bit harsh. Didn’t finish.

Got that Mississippi tick thanks to fiveacestx. Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Some hops are faded at this point but aromas of light tangerine and grass. Taste is on the bitter side. Medium thick body and medium carb.

Big sweet grapefruit immediately followed by big pine resin. Excellent balance between the two huge flavors. Just a touch of alcohol in the finish. Its not as complex as some I’ve had, but it is very well balanced. The 9% ABV is almost completely hidden. I would definitely have this again.
