Perhaps my very favorite brew currently. An Imperial Pale Ale with a strong spicy flavor and aroma of hops. At 9% alcohol there is no mistaking it’s potency but the brew is so well balanced... full body, medium texture, soft carbonation with a lovely long finish. World class. I highly recommend this to one and all. uhljoseph (66) - TAMPA, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Spicy full body IPA. A little bite to it. Great aroma taste and finish.

Pours clear orange with a large white head. Smells of orange and grapefruit, spicy from rye and earthy hops, and mildly sweet. Taste is bitter and mildly spicy and has a very subtle touch of sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and fair mouth-carbonation, Lazy Magnolia Timber Beast finishes with some rye sweetness and spiciness. handsomejn (77) - Arkansas, USA - SEP 4, 2012
LOVED this beer. Lots of malty sweetness to offset the complex hop profile. Pours light golden w medium carbonation. Smells like a candy store. Amazing. GMartin (4) - - AUG 11, 2014 does not count
I am a DIPA purest, but do not generally favor
rye styles. This beer, however, has become a go
to double. I only hope it is not a seasonal.

Pours a hazy light copper low foam head DIPA. Nectarines and mangos delicate aroma. Taste of fresh citrus, oily medium body mouthfeel. Bitter citrus aftertaste however not overwhelming yet persisting, rye bitter. Good good potent DIPA.

With an ABV of 9, I'd argue this is an imperial rye IPA. In any case, just wonderful! Strong hoppy aroma following a surprisingly light color pour. Beautiful resin and pine malt backbone, with nice bitterness. The rye makes this beer -- a super good spiciness that starts at the beginning and stays around long after everything else fades into the background. Recommended!

Appearance: a rich gold color, some amber hues, beer is clear, pours with a very big and very dense tan head, looks great, great head retention and lacing
Aroma: hoppy, grass, pine, kind of faint
Taste: grass, pine, earth, bitter, citrus, also creamy, very subtle and smooth malt backbone in the back ground
Palate: creamy, high c02, leaves a bitter aftertaste, leaves mouth feeling wet
Overall: very impressed with this beer, lots of hop flavors and a nice mouthfeel with the malt kind of staying behind the scenes, which is how I like my ipa's

Aroma is citrus, spicy, herbal, malt, rye. Flavor has a strong dose of rye but not overpowering, floral perfume hops, rich caramel, notes of raisins. Body is quite full. This is a really good beer. Slipstream (2661) - USA - MAY 6, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2016 Draft from Half Time. The pour is a nice orange color. This is a juicy, grassy, dry IIPA. The aroma is first rate, with lots of sweet floral scent. There is a bit of caramel, lime, green herbs - really good! A fine intro to this Missiissippi brewery.
