I’ve had this on tap and from the bottle. Both were incredibly fresh offerings (the draft was on July 1st, 2012 - the first day it was legal). From the bottle there is a huge head that’s retained for some time. Nice coppery color. Citrus notes in the aroma and flavor. It has a very full feel in the mouth and is nice and spicy. Very drinkable.

Cavie (4651) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2017
Bottle. Clear, light orange. Big citrus orange peel in the aroma. Caramel malty notes with defined sweetness. Sweet notes in the flavor. Rye spice on the finish, dry lingering. Malty notes play a big part upfront. Citrus hops as well.

Bottle at Red Hot. Dark golden, fine pearls, golden lace. Perfumed, grassy, minerally/earthy notes. Medium full, well balanced sparkly, easy on the palate. Broad hop profile, earthy, minerally, pine, citrus peel, not too catty. Nice!

SinH4 (4708) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2017
Bottle. Clear amber-orange color with eggshell head. Aroma is grapefruit, some earthy hops, spruces, piney, some rye spiciness. Taste is grapefruit, piney, mildly spicy rye, some residual sweetness, bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Nice!

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2017
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a small frothy off-white head. The nose is a little light on the hops for a DIPA. There’s a pretty equal citrusy hoppiness and toasty caramel maltiness to the aroma. The flavor is pretty well on par with the aroma. Not quite enough hop flavor or bitterness to compete with the malt. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, not quite what I want in a Double IPA.

3.5
Idiosynkrasie (7419) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 12, 2016
355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average, fluffy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy, hoppy aroma, zesty notes of orange, spicy malty basis. Taste is citrusy and piney, pungent bitter hoppy, notes of lemon, lemon zest, orange zest, spicy malty basis.
