Nice aroma of a mix between copper and honey. Apparence is not hazy and has a unique taste of honey. Very liquid for it’s taste. elsada (2) - CANADA - FEB 9, 2016 does not count
Boutip (6380) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 9, 2009
Bottle: Poured a deep bright amber color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and honey is quite wonderful – I can’t say what spices are used (coriander? And something else) but the mix is very interesting. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I must admit to being quite surprised – the spice mix is wonderful and the honey smoothed out everything else. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 14, 2010
Tap. Great beer. Aromas of anisette, caramel, and spices. Taste is sweet, with average duration. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

500ml bottle. Gorgeous deep amber body, slightly cloudy, medium beige-yellow small bubbles head with an excellent retention. Aroma on the sweet side: caramel, grapefruit, honey, resin, herbal-floral. Taste is nicely balanced: citrus, resin, caramel, honey, tons of herbal hops. Nice long bitterness, thick texture and good carbonation. A late alcohol heat. Aroma is not strong but is fruity, rather sweet, with a malty undertone, and inviting. It pours a nice clear mahogany with a fluffy beige head. Mouth filling flavor is malty and fruity - mainly apple - with a bitter hoppy undertone and a hint of caramel. Texture is smooth and fairly tingly, leaving a nice fizzy and slightly fruity finish. obguthr (6358) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 26, 2012
Toffee and raisin nose. Hazy ochre, thick yellow head. Medium body. Honeycomb flavor with date accents. Floral dandelion finish. Surprisingly rich Anglo-Belgian character. Lovely. thb (829) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 17, 2011
Amber ale on steroids. Pours deep ruby with middling thin off-white head. Aroma: rich toffee malt, honey, dark fruits. Taste is similar, it’s almost hedging into barley wine territory with the dark fruits, and vinous quality. Opens quite sweet with preserved fruit and warming alcohol. Moves to bitterness, finishes sweet, effervescent. Boozy but drinkable. Sweet but not syrupy. Nice. pintbypint (3641) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
500ml brown bottle.Pours unclear-hazed deep golden-orange. Decent looking creamy column of whitish foam, splotchy lacing. Nose has caramel, orange note, pleasant honey, toasty grain. Taste has iniital honey kiss, floral hints, then moves into grains and mellow toasty malts, bit of an orangey fade out. Toasty aftertaste, a bit of hops. Silky smooth body, creamy. Nice quaffable brew that does not drink it’s strength. Le Bilboquet makes some seriously cool beers, I like their style.
