Bottle: Opaque black appearance, dense foamy brown head. Licorice and cocoa aroma, milky coffee, burnt alcohol/fruit. Burnt toast, coffee malt flavor, subdued fruitiness, dry with some woody tones. Strong bitter roast in the finish, aftertaste is mildly sweet chocolate milkshake. Thanks to rauchbier for this one. omhper (25951) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 13, 2006
[Bottled, thanks rauchbier!] Transparently black with rich, firm head. Concentrated aroma of roasty malt. Dry with soft but firm mouthfeel. Creaamy with notes of coffee. Licorice-like bitterness finishes it off. Subtle, yet flavourful. Very clean, yet interesting. KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2010
Black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate, espresso and english liquerice. Sweet flavor with hard roasted malt, dark chocolate, hops, dark chocolate and english liquerice. Finished dry. Bought from a little Calvados store in France. Apparently the brewery has now closed down and this is one of the last bottles. Pours black with a good tan head. The taste is rich, fruity and sweet at first before bitter liquorice notes on the finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Really very good. planky84 (3494) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013

Shared 750ml bottle from the brewery itself. It pours a dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Very smooth. Dry, sweet and long finish. A very pleasant stout without the heaviness of this kind of beers. Very good! Patrickctenchi (6808) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 15, 2015
