czar (9430) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2017
on tap at bateau de nuit, qc - as a test batch. hazy almost cloudy light golden pour with a small creamy white cap offering some retention and lacing. very fruity maltiness - some spicy melons, faint tropicalness, minty resin, clean yeast action. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; assertive but not unbalanced spicy-piney-resinous finish. not in new england game at this point of process - stuck in-between east coast and neipa. still a pretty nice american ipa - pimped, fruitier, paler and more balanced yakima perhaps.

In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice and smooth. On tap at L’autre oeil, Péché Mortel Day, March 11 2017.
