pushkinwow (2897) - Ottawa, CANADA - MAR 19, 2013
Bomber from Broue Ha Ha. Very dark brown with a light and creamy mocha head that fades to a thin layer. Milk chocolate, slightly roasted malt and hazelnuts. Mild+ body and pleasant carbonation, smooth bit silky, lots of chocolate but not too sweet, finish is not great but ok.

Bouteille 660ml.

unibrouefan (200) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 13, 2013
Achetée au brouhaha à Gatineau. Couleur rousse tangeante noire. Aucune effervescence. Ça sent presque le castor. Goût et palais dans la normale mais sans plus.

3.3
Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 7, 2013
A dark reddish brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a sweet mix of chocolate, nuts, caramel, not bad. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with roasted notes, coffee, butterscotch, oily mouthfeel, classic. On tap at Vices et Versa, Feb. 22 2013.

Fred82 (2339) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 3, 2013
Bomber from La Barik.
Appearance : Dark amber with small head. Not much lacing.
Aroma : Mainly coffee, light oatmeal. Roasted malt. A bit creamy.
Taste : Roasted malt with light chocolate, light oatmeal and some coffee. Finish is mostly coffee with light oatmeal and light chocolate. Coffee is quite persistent on the finish.
Palate : Soft carbonation. Creamy palate.
Overall : I was a bit surprised to find that much coffee on the nose on an oatmeal stout. That being said, the beer is fairly good and enjoyable. Not the most complex but pretty decent. No apparent flaw but some could be hidden behind the coffee notes.

czar (9430) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 11, 2013
pours medium dark brown with a nice beige head, little retention. roasted chocolate, disturbing burnt malts, hint of sweetness and acidity. resinous and grassy hops - light to medium hopping. average to soft carbonation, light body - mouthfeel is disappointingly thin. meh - almost a drain pour.

3.3
dandeman (1067) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 9, 2013
Aroma: Milk chocolate, caramel candies and coffee. Not that strong but noticeable. Visual: Black, nice creamy head, quite lasting. Little lacing having a hard time sticking. Taste: Coffee, chocolate and oatmeal. A well established roasted flavors but not harsh. Very smooth palate with a medium body and oily texture. Lively carbonation. A smooth and OK stout. Flavors are suffering a lack of complexity; too basic.

3.3
probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2013
Bomber from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep brown-black with a decent light mocha head. Aroma: A bit grainy/mashy with some nice coffee and dark chocolate notes, hints of molasses, some Dubble-Bubble?, a touch fruity, fairly inviting. Palate: Medium-full body, creamy effervescence. Flav.: Yup...Dubble-Bubble, plenty of coffee and dark chocolate, a bit ashen, a little grape bubble gum, decent; dry with fairly good bitterness and a mineral/ashen, coffee and dark chocolate finish.

Not entirely successful, but a good effort.
