Deepest brown with clear edges and a smallish tan head. Burnt cookies, chocolate milk and charred grain meet in this sweetish oatmeal stout that unveils a solid malt depth (molasses, raisins, blackberries, pudding), but could be polished further in terms of mouthfeel. Indeed, the carbonation feels a bit rough, hitting the palate with hard, acidic bubbles that, while they dry out the caramelly notes that could have been tiring, cut into the malt development and make the initially oily, medium palate feel much thinner than it is. Timid leafy hops. A kiss of vanilla seems to linger in the finish. Pretty good stuff that could get up there with many great Quebec stouts based on its complexity if minor adjustments were performed.

Pours a black color with a large tan head. Strong nose of chocolate and coffee. Smoked and roasted malts come through. A bit of earthiness and nuttiness as well. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, lacks body. It’s easily drinkable tho. The bitterness is small to medium near the end. The more you drink it the more you like it. Well done. A bit of a creamy thin mouthfeel. Opaque dark brown color, faint creamy 3 finger beige head, lasting around 5 minutes, but making a good amount of lacing. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, molasses, dark malts, walnuts, herbal spices, and got some oatmeal. Heavily sugary, but quite tender and well spiced. Slick and smooth full body with the perfect amount of sharp carbonation. Medium strength finish, ending with an earthy feel of roasted grains, toffee, and mocha. Overall excellent quality craft. Dark brown color, near black. Nice aroma, roasted and smoked malts, nice character. Dry mouthfeel, a bit thin; good malts, elegant dark caramel and roasted nuts, a bit easy in the final.
