3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deepest brown with clear edges and a smallish tan head. Burnt cookies, chocolate milk and charred grain meet in this sweetish oatmeal stout that unveils a solid malt depth (molasses, raisins, blackberries, pudding), but could be polished further in terms of mouthfeel. Indeed, the carbonation feels a bit rough, hitting the palate with hard, acidic bubbles that, while they dry out the caramelly notes that could have been tiring, cut into the malt development and make the initially oily, medium palate feel much thinner than it is. Timid leafy hops. A kiss of vanilla seems to linger in the finish. Pretty good stuff that could get up there with many great Quebec stouts based on its complexity if minor adjustments were performed.
Pours deep brown-black with an off white head. Roasted aroma and flavor, moderate sweetness guil0000 (433) - New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 16, 2016
Pours a black color with a large tan head. Strong nose of chocolate and coffee. Smoked and roasted malts come through. A bit of earthiness and nuttiness as well. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, lacks body. It’s easily drinkable tho. The bitterness is small to medium near the end. The more you drink it the more you like it. Well done. A bit of a creamy thin mouthfeel. It kind of feels like a pumped up Guiness which is not necessarily bad. Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 2, 2016
Opaque dark brown color, faint creamy 3 finger beige head, lasting around 5 minutes, but making a good amount of lacing. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, molasses, dark malts, walnuts, herbal spices, and got some oatmeal. Heavily sugary, but quite tender and well spiced. Slick and smooth full body with the perfect amount of sharp carbonation. Medium strength finish, ending with an earthy feel of roasted grains, toffee, and mocha. Overall excellent quality craft. Satisfying, filling, and pleasantly flavored. Very tasty and fresh. I really like the balance and the accessibility. Well represented style. Adamsville (399) - Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2016
Épaté n’est certainement pas le terme qui convienne le mieux pour décrire mon impression suite à la dégustation de cette bière. Très simple (malt grillé), courte, trop mince; je dirais malheureusement sans caractère. Pas horrible, mais pas pour moi. Oakes (19027) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 6, 2016
Dark brown. The aroma is a bit fudgey, but with a light toasty note. A touch of oats as well A bit thin, but with a tiny fudginess.

Tasting at Matt’s beerplace (2155) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 6, 2016
Dark brown color, near black. Nice aroma, roasted and smoked malts, nice character. Dry mouthfeel, a bit thin; good malts, elegant dark caramel and roasted nuts, a bit easy in the final.
Good beer, well made.
650ml bottle from Peluso, Montreal; tasted at Matt’s. Pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and seeds. Taste is roasted malt and seeds, some dark fruits notes. Burnt malt aftertaste. Good one. mcberko (19201) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 6, 2016
650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of bitter, dry oats upfront, with a touch of bitterness, some roast, and dry cocoa powder. Flavour is hearty, full of dry oats, bitter dry cocoa powder, and a touch of roast. Very oat-dominated. Hearty and easy to drink. Bozo_skeleton (1165) - Grenoble, FRANCE - JUL 5, 2016
