In short: An easy to drink fruity blond IPA that doesn’t overdo anything. Good
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear amber-blond body topped by a small persistent off-white head
In long: Nose is tropical fruits, some grapefruits and very little of that cat urine I usually associate with Citra hopped beers. Taste has the typical neutral malt backbone of crisp blond IPA, bready and crackery, clean, provides a backbone but doesn’t contribute much to the flavor spectrum. Generous hopping although not a hop-bomb, tropical fruits, exotic fruits, bitter grapefruits, bitterness intensity in the medium range. Medium dry finish. With the number of Citra IPAs coming out these days, this one sure does not stand out, but it remains a very sessionnable beer, more so than so many other Citra IPAs that tend to be over-the-top. And I was at my local pub Cheval Blanc when I realized that the people who bitch about my supposedly “out of control beer drinking problem” are almost always the same people who go to the bathroom leaving their pint of beer unattended on the table.

Pours a clear golden-orange with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma: Simply lots of Citra hops and it smells awesome. Only slightly watery flavour has lots of Citra hops again and a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Great stuff!

[4468-20120608] Tap. Grainy toasted citrus-infused malt aroma. Clear brown amber body with a medium-lasting bubbly off-white head. Toasted citrus grains flavour has a good bitter base. Medium body. Drinkable, great choice for a pint. (8/3/7/3+/15) 3.6

2012-06-08. Crisp dark orange body, small off-white head fades. 3+ Pleasant, mild flavour modest citrusy hops, modest bitterness that grows as you go. Very mild green leafy touches in the aftertaste. 7+ Similar aroma, modest citrus, muted green hops. 7+ Average bodied palate. It is more of an assertive APA than an IPA to my palate, and needs just a touch more citrus for my taste. Solid, very quaffable, this one is clearly meant for pints not samples. Enjoyable. On tap at Mondial, Montreal

Slightly hazy blonde topped by a creamy white head, lasting. Intense grapefruity aromas, backed by a herbaceous notes and a touch of pine. Medium body, good grapefruity bitterness, nice malt backbone and a crunchy bitter finish. Highly enjoyable, straightforward IPA. On cask at the brewpub.
