---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Verre au Cheval Blanc (Montral). Robe dore opaque.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a gorgeous hazed gold that slowly settles out in a slow cascading golden shower. Heh. Big juicy citrus on the nose, creamy malt and citrus. Melon, soft malt, a bit of sticky honey citrus. Slow musk, and gentle citrus into the finish. Very tasty.

Not too sure about the number of ounces I got in this glass, like half-2/3 a glass on tap at brewpub. Aroma: pineapples, tangerines, mangos. App: of course this is carbonated with co2 so the look is awesome. Huge white head with awesome lacing and never ending carbonation. Taste and palate: medium creamy body, really smooth, light to medium sweetness, fruity bitter finish. Overall: pretty good but from what I?ve read on some Facebook groups was expecting something much better. To be, the nitro completely changes the style of this beer. Nonetheless, this is really easy to drink. Just wish I had a full glass.

Draft @ pub A: citrusy, ultra piny, grapefruit app: hazy pale thick and lasting white head with excellent lacing. T/p: med body with moderate long bitter finish. Creamy texture. O: first every double ipa on nitro I ever had. Im a bit surprised how little to no bitterness is perceived. A nice hop fix with surprising texture.

On nitro at the brewery. Served in a snifter. Hazy pale golden body. Creamy nitrogenated head. Smells strongly of citra hops and pale malt. Taste is citra hops, sweet pale malt, light grapefruit behind it all. Creamy, of course. Kinda works on nitro, which I seldom say. Id like to try it on a regular tap, but Im enjoying this all the same.

On tap (13 oz) @ Le Cheval Blanc. Served on nitro.

Appearance: Hazy golden-orange with a thick fully lasting creamy white head and heavy lacing. Unfair because of the nitro serving? I dont care, its beautiful.

Aroma: Dank hops, oranges, pine, onions, grass and mild spiciness.

Taste: Ok, this is where things really starts to get serious. A burst of dank hops, grass, creamsickle, oranges, pine, rich doughy cereals, mild spiciness and moderate bitterness. Juicy. Perfect cohesion.

Palate: Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Really smooth and creamy mouthfeel because of the nitro. A bit oily too. Despite being that creamy, its still super dry in the finish. Resinous, citrus and dankiness in the aftertaste. Unfair because of nitro serving? I dont care this is amazing.

Overall: This is my highest rated DIPA so far. Is it the best I had per se? Not 100% sure about that because Hill Farmstead makes some badass ones too, but this is definitely the one I enjoyed the most. Thoroughly. I only drank a 13 oz pour (ok ok, I admit I also took a few sips in the glass of the lady) because I was driving a few hours later and this is still an 8% abv beer but otherwise I would have drank many (!) glasses of this... all day long. Drinkability is astonishing for a DIPA. Really quenching and so smooth. Packed with a ton of flavors while still being extremely well balanced. Perfect mouthfeel for that beer. Phenomenal!
