Paid by the Pub at the end of a beer tasting evening with PrimeMinister. Perfectly opaque black body topped with a lasting beige creamy head. Malty aroma with roasted coffee notes. Taste is very well balanced. Flavors are mainly malty and coffeeish. Mild and creamy texture. Fair bitter/roasty finish. Enjoyable creamy stout. hopscotch (11078) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2005
Draft... Pitch black with a nitro-induced, creamy, light brown head. Chocolate, vanilla and berry notes in the aroma. The flavor is fairly well-balanced and a bit burnt. A touch woodsy. Light bodied and silky with pillow soft carbonation. Lengthy, bone-dry finish with some charred notes.

A nice stout, with a typical black beer look. Aroma and taste of roasted malt and coffee. Very enjoyable ! HopasaurusRex (195) - Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA - SEP 14, 2004
Not a bad little stout. Not very aggressive on the roasted malt side, but most of the Montreal beers seemed a bit on the subdued side(not very hoppy and moderate malt.) Enjoyable though and only $3 a glass. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 6, 2004
Black, dense nitro tan head. Roasted coffee grains in the aroma, slightly creamy and chocolatey. The same profile keeps going on in mouth, rather lactic, very quaffable. Mild and refreshing stout, easy to take and well made, but on the counterpart a bit thin.

Jet black, opaque, with a thick, creamy, nitro, tan coloured head. Coffee / cappaccino and chocolate aroma. Slowly growing coffee and chocolate bitterness, drying out on the finish. Dry and lightish mouthfeel. On tap at the brewpub. Radek Kliber (7352) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 13, 2004
Opaque black, thick creamy foam. Very decent appearance. Milky, roast and toffee like aroma. Thick , juicy brew . Oily , creamy texture . Black clean roasts .Different, but very nice. CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 9, 2004
(Draught)Thick, creamy beige head and an opaque body. Nice coffee nose with a smooth, creamy cocoa flavour. Very good. jercraigs (10365) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2004
Black with a nice khaki head. Roasty sweet aroma with notes of mocha. Pleasant mouthfeel but a bit light as you drink more. - Which I now see accurately described as milky by MartinT - Nice malty flavour with slight hints of chocolate and mocha. Overall a bit simplistic but quite nice. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 30, 2004
black, foamy beige head. roasty malt aroma with some coffee and caramel. very little carbo, extremely smooth mouthfeel. flavour starts out a little chocolatey and malty, but gets a bit thin. not bad.
