On tap @ Le Cheval Blanc (Montréal). Black with a creamy beige head (fully lasting) and good lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, nuts, English hops, mineral & earthy notes. Taste is slightly sweet with coffee, roasted malt, nuts, earthy/mineral notes and a light lactic presence (not disturbing - well integrated). Light body. Creamy mouthfeel. Very good Sweet Stout. The only "problem" is the body, it’s too light / not creaming enough or I don’t know what, but there’s something missing to make the beer more consistent. black, foamy beige head. roasty malt aroma with some coffee and caramel. very little carbo, extremely smooth mouthfeel. flavour starts out a little chocolatey and malty, but gets a bit thin. not bad. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 6, 2004
Black, dense nitro tan head. Roasted coffee grains in the aroma, slightly creamy and chocolatey. The same profile keeps going on in mouth, rather lactic, very quaffable. Mild and refreshing stout, easy to take and well made, but on the counterpart a bit thin. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2006
12 oz. glass on tap at the brewpub. App.: very dark brown-black, barely a hint of red with a tight, creamy, light-tan head. Aroma: skunky coffee (French roast), a littel dark chocolate, cat pee (ammonia?) and not much else. Med.-full body, very low carbonation and slightly astringent. Flav.: black coffee and a bit of dark chocolate...close to the nose. Finishes a bit thin, slightly bitter with a black coffee aftertaste. Quite dry (hardly a sweet stout) and slightly tart. Lacks complexity, but quite drinkable.

Nitro pour - Opaque black with creamy beige head. Roasty malt aroma, burnt malt also. Creosote. Roasted/burnt malt flavors balanced with some hop presence. Mouthfeel a little thin, a little too acidic - Not bad. douglas88 (9568) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 21, 2011

Robe noire surmontée d’une mousse crémeuse beige persistente. Arômes de pain et de malt torréfié. Saveurs de levure, de café et de malt torréfié. Houblon de soutien. Nekronos (4174) - Xalapa, MEXICO - SEP 18, 2006
Very interesting, little too heavy but nit in the rest. Good foam and very yeasty. mds (2250) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 30, 2006
Draught. Deep dark brown with a small yellow/mocha head. The aroma has chocolate creaminess, coffee roast but generally more of the former. Soft creamy body that leans towards the thin side. Dry fruitiness and chocolate finish. Not bad.
