On tap (4 oz) @ Le Cheval Blanc.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow with a small white head and little to no lacing.

Aroma: Citrus/lemon forward with light spiciness, Belgian yeast and light banana notes.

Taste: Quite yeasty, lemony with moderate spices, wheat and banana notes.

Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Moderately dry finish.

Overall: Unlike other ratings and the classification of the beer, I found this was more a Saison than a Wit. Quite yeasty. Tasty and drinkable.

Taster at brewpub. Pours hazy blond with tiny white head. Aroma: wheat, malt, yeast, hops and slight sourness. Taste is moderately sweet with bitter finish. Notes of wheat, bubblegum and watermelon. Overall, a smooth beer, easily drinkable and fairly enjoyable. Godd witbier

On cask at the brewpub, muddy amber-orange hue, with a thick white head, with a nice herbal, flower lavender petal, yeasty banana, wheaty maltiness nose, with some light citrus hop notes, within a faint spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity banana, spicy, light flowery citrus hop character, with a grassy, leafy, wheat, pale malt mellowness backbone, leading towards a faint leafy bitterness finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy bright yellow pour, with a large white head. Quite an upfront hoppy aroma with some light citrucy spice. Light corriander, with some light exotic fruit. Lively carb, refreshing, and a bright mouthfeel.

A hazy white blonde saison with a thin creamy and lacing white head. In aroma, a smooth banana with light acidic points, cloves, spices, very nice. In mouth, a nice spiced up saison with banana esters, cloves, white pepper flakes, very tasty and quaffable. On tap at brewpub, June 17 2011.

On tap at Cheval Blanc. The color is a hazy dirty honey with a thin beige head. The aroma is light not much to discover. The taste is of wheat and hops with some spcies but not enough and some yeast. A good saison but soe ingredients missing.

In short: A very yeasty wild and flowery Saison
How: Cask at brewpub
The look: Opaque peach color topped by a medium white head
In long: Nose is seriously wild, lots of wild yeast and garden flowerss. Taste is banana cake swimming in a lot of wild yeast. Juicy flowery hops provide a smooth bitterness. Finish is not dry despite the strong wild yeast presence. Body is full and fluffy. I don’t think the cask conditioning was a good idea. This beer was good but could have been even better with regular Belgian style carbonation. It’s because of good sessions beers like this one that I now have more fat cells than brain cells
