A dark brown ale with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, a sweet British hops, burned caramel, very nice. In mouth, a smooth burned caramel malt with light coffee and molasses, nice herbaceous British hops, treacle and smooth alcohol warmth. On tap at Mondiale 2012 , June 9 2012. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2012
2012-06-09. Very dark brown body is near black with mahogany accents, small tan head. 3+ Fruity tangy highlights over malty core in aroma, sort of vinous but not really, hints at wood. 7+ Served on the cold side. Flavour is similar, tangy vinous fruit, rich yet very subtle fruit lingers. 7+ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate, light carbonation. 3+ Sort of simple but I liked it. [4500-20120609] Tap. Mild chocolate malt and lots of nectarine in the aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown mahogany body with a quick foamy light mocha head. Toasted nectarine hops flavour has a nice subtle bitterness and roasty fruit aftertaste. Medium body. Tasty, and a little unusual. (7/3/8/4/15) 3.7

Aroma sweet wrap , tart , mild alcohol feel. Very interesting approach.7+
Appearance pours as hazed amber with rocky mid top.
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Citrus, some alcohol, pine with fruity berry elements. Vinous side end. Solid brew.
Bottle: Poured a brown color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention. Aroma is a unique mix between some oak with almost Flanders red like quality with some bourbon and some caramelized malt with a light vinous touch at the end. Taste is a hard to describe mix between some vinous notes with oak and light bourbon with some caramelized malt that is not overly sweet. Body is about average with low carbonation. Interesting experience though not something that I would feel the need to drink on a regular basis. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 15, 2012
In short: A rich brown ale with a nice oak and bourbon presence and juicy dry-hoppingrobinvboyer (4754) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2012
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear dark mahogany body with ruby highlights topped by a small tan head
In long: Nose has a very original aroma with a blend of barrels and juicy leafy hops some fruity and minty notes. Taste is a rich hazelnut pie, moderate bourbon presence, rich caramel, juicy hops essence, quite a bit of dry-hop here, plenty of oak, medium bitterness. This beer was a strange amalgam of flavors, but it is a fun strange amalgam of flavors, a tasty beer that stands out from the crowd. I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed this beer during the celebration of Cheval Blanc’s 25th anniversary, 25 years already for my local brewpub, to me breweries I’ve been drinking for a long time are a bit like members of my family, except I don’t hate them.
Tap at le mondiale 2012. Hazy dark brown pour, small beige head. Chewy malt aroma, surrounded by slme sweet woody vanilla, and dark fruits.
Lots going on here! Loads of dark fruit, wood, the bourbon makes and appearance, its sticky sweet, and full of vanilla. Bready finish, sweet, sticky, and more wood. Very interesting brew. rodenbach99 (4678) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - APR 11, 2012

Comment: Bouteille de 500ml numéro 08/192 et 10/192.
Description: Première bouteille bue du Cheval Blanc.
Drank on tap (14 oz) at the brewpub for the second Big Tuesday of Cheval Blanc’s 25th anniversary, April 10, 2012. Very dark brown, thin head. Aroma of sweet bourbon, slightly spicy. Taste of bourbon and hops fruity and bitter, with notes of sour berries, dry bitterness. Very well balanced, good bitterness, they have not failed that one for their 25th!
