Deep golden-blonde, lasting white foamy head, with a lovely fruity nose and a hint of c-hops. Light body, mild bitterness, really sessionable, ending on a fruity, green melon and grassy finish. Nice easy drinking harvest ale. On cask at the pub.

I tasted this twice, and the first time, I cant say I really liked this one, but second time, was quite nice. A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light floral hops aroma, with some light butterscotch and mashed fruits. In mouth, the first time, there was a strange taste of spent grains, wet dough, rye, signs of oxidation, but the second time, a more classy pale ale with smooth resinous and pinhey hops, quite nice and refreshing. Verdict, I’ll use the second rating. On tap at brewpub, Sept. 25 and Nov. 5, 2010.

Cask at the brewery. Fresh hop leaves on the front with anice maltiness : bread and apple-pears aromas. Light body, yet still velvety (thanks in part to the cask). Shows a pale yellow with little head. A nice one to drink from a cask.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Flavor of strong, floral, citrusy hops, malt, dryness and bitterness. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Well-done.

In short: An nice hoppy harvest ale with a harsh grassy bitterness. Nice brew.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy golden-blonde body topped by a long-lasting small white head
In long: Interesting nose with a hop signature that is dry grass, leafy and flowery. Well malted body with a banana cake sensation. A little grainy. Hops are everything but smooth. Harsh bitterness with burnt grass and light citrusy notes. I like those fresh harvest ales, they is something that I love but cannot put into words about them. Or maybe I’m just a real man who cannot verbalize his emotions.

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy, leafy hops thrive within crunchy pale cereals in this very drinkable and balanced Mild Harvest Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the cloudy dark blond.
-The malt signature is mostly honeyed.
-The hops aren’t overdone, yet they assert themselves throughout. This is a very nice hoppy quencher.
-The body was svelte, but never thin.
-This will be wonderful next year on cask!

On tap at the brewpub.
