weark (888) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - APR 22, 2014
Bottle from Au Grain D’Orge - Clear brown color with a small and fast disappearing tan head - Aroma of maple, caramel, toffee - Flavor of maple syrup and hints of malt - Medium body, good carbonation, sweet, sweet maple syrup finish - not well balanced the maple syrup is too present

minutemat (6063) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2014
500ml bottle @ the 3rd Shrewsbury Bottle Share, courtesy of me. Bought from Auchan. Has a strong maple syrup aroma that permeates all the way through this beer to the point where it doesn’t actually taste like a beer at all. Very sticky and sweet with a caramel orange appearance. Probably great drizzled over pancakes!

Appearance - This is 7%abv. Pours the exact look of Maple Syrup. Really thin head. Almost more of a film. Nose - immediate assault of maple syrup. No mistaking this. Hints of vanilla as well. One of the most pleasant beer aromas I have ever inhaled. Palate - Maple syrup, although not as pronounced as it is on the nose. I get a hint of some hops, especially if I swirl it before sipping. This is a fairly sweet beer though. Overall - Great aromas give way to a very good, but not quite as great taste. In ways it reminds me of La Vie du Chateau, also from La Grimoire brewery, so no coincidence there. This is an aroma and taste explosion.

Amber pour, off white head. Flavors of caramel, toffee, maple, brown sugar, graham crackers, stale malts. Ok.

Cette bière est excellente ! Le goût d’érable est subtile et est tellement délicieux. Elle n’est pas trop sucrée et ne tappe pas sur le coeur!

DuffMan (10667) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 26, 2013
On tap @ Pub St. Andre in Montreal. Beautiful russet orange, dense off whit head that looks nitro (but isn’t). Lovely genuine sweet maple aroma and flavour. The palate also gives notes of chocolate, cherries, mild bitterness off-sets the sweetness. I quite liked it, but I really love maple syrup, so I get why not everyone would be a fan.

anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2013
Bottle @ yespr. Pours a slightly hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor with weak sour hints. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle 500ml.

Unclear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet caramel, sugary, dusty malt, celery. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, cake, caramel, sweet malt, sugary. IMO quit stange !! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
