Cette bière est excellente ! Le goût d’érable est subtile et est tellement délicieux. Elle n’est pas trop sucrée et ne tappe pas sur le coeur! Beardbeerman (341) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 28, 2014

This ale is for me, the expression of what a maple syrup flavoured beer should be. It pours a crystal clear copper with roughly no carbonation topped by a thin airy marble head showing nice lacing. The nose is maple, maple and MAPLE!!! The pairing with the malts even gives the impression of smelling pancakes. The taste is on target with just enough roasted malts to balance out the sweetness of the maple syrup. It finishes hoppy but the maple will persist way pass the end. This awesome ale is not too sweet and could probably be defined as liquid candy. Sincerely, everything works (visual, smell and taste). Great product I strongly recommend. You could easily use this beer to marinade a pork roast with some garlic and veggies or on a nice oven roasted ham and it will definitely give it some kick! I know my rating is higher than most people, but that must be because I got it really (and I mean really) fresh. Beers brewed with maple syrup don’t let that flavour come through so much usually and when they do, it dissipates quickly as the yeast eat away the sugars of the beer. Appearance - This is 7%abv. Pours the exact look of Maple Syrup. Really thin head. Almost more of a film.
Nose - immediate assault of maple syrup. No mistaking this. Hints of vanilla as well. One of the most pleasant beer aromas I have ever inhaled.
Palate - Maple syrup, although not as pronounced as it is on the nose. I get a hint of some hops, especially if I swirl it before sipping. This is a fairly sweet beer though.
Overall - Great aromas give way to a very good, but not quite as great taste. In ways it reminds me of La Vie du Chateau, also from La Grimoire brewery, so no coincidence there. This is an aroma and taste explosion. Bretteux (181) - Ste-Julie, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 12, 2013

Cheers! Mondial de la Bière 2011, Strasbourg - clear amber-red beer with a modest head retention; dry aroma of maple syrup; a solid yet subtle carbonation, some sweetness; aftertaste of red fruits and maple syrup Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2014
Granby!! i spent many o times there, happy to finally have a beer from the area. Hazy amber brew. mapes syrop pancacke aroma with some dark tree fruit on the aroma. Sweet brew, as expected, but fairly balanced giving the sweetness as the maple syrup is rather pale, relative to others I’ve had. Pretty good. On tap @ Pub St. Andre in Montreal. Beautiful russet orange, dense off whit head that looks nitro (but isn’t). Lovely genuine sweet maple aroma and flavour. The palate also gives notes of chocolate, cherries, mild bitterness off-sets the sweetness. I quite liked it, but I really love maple syrup, so I get why not everyone would be a fan. minutemat (5471) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2014
500ml bottle @ the 3rd Shrewsbury Bottle Share, courtesy of me. Bought from Auchan. Has a strong maple syrup aroma that permeates all the way through this beer to the point where it doesn’t actually taste like a beer at all. Very sticky and sweet with a caramel orange appearance. Probably great drizzled over pancakes!
