Oily golden brew topped by a limited white head that wants to go away sooner than one would like. Aroma is somehow malty with a nice hops sting. Taste is maltier than your usual pale ale but it is all balanced out by a good and firm bitterness. A good beer that I wouldn’t mind having again, probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 27, 2011
500 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cold in a tulip glass. cfrancis (3536) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2011
App.: Clear amber with a large off-white foam.
Aroma: Slightly nutty and earthy, a touch infected?, seem British rather than American, salt and vinegar chips, some caramalt, burnt sugar and C-hops once the yuck clears out, weird start that worked out fairly well in the end.
Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence.
Flav.: Better than the nose and more to style, some decent grapefruit and marmalade, almost enough malt backbone for support, quite dry for an APA, without the characteristic caramalt, still decent; dry with pretty good bitterness and a dusty, malty, C-hop finish.
The nose had me worried, but the flavour was reassuring.
Pours a deep amber with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is grain, slight hop and cereal. Taste is great. Cereal, hop with a low bitterness. But a great malt profile for a pale ale. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 5, 2011
Slightly cloudy pale amber color with a medium offwhite head. Nice aroma of citrusy and slightly resinous hops with a caramel malt. Very good flavor of citrusy, slightly resinous hops with caramel and bitterness in the end, there’s also some lingering sweetness. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. This is a very satisfying pale ale. Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 17, 2013
Pours light copper with medium light-beige head. Some lacing. Aroma is of malt, citrus, earth, some caramel. Taste is of malt, citrus, some fruits, bitterness, slightly earthy. Palate: Light body. Nice balance. Overall: Pretty good.

GonZoBeeR (3061) - ste-catherine, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 3, 2010

Bottle. Moderate malt and hop aromas of cereal and caramel, flowers and spruce, faint soap for the yeast, with hints of dried fruit. Head is small, frothy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is medium amber/tan. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly to moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Well balanced aromas and fantastic flavors in this American Pale Ale. 500 mL bottle. Clear copper with a small beige head. Mild aroma of floral hops. Flavour is better than the aroma, and more complex. More pineapple and citrus than the nose, and there is almost an Alt note to the malt profile. Quite interesting. Solid body. DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 8, 2011
Nice extra-large off-white head and a clear bright amber body. Soft aroma of malts with just a hint of hoppiness. Flavour is smooth maltiness with a dry hoppy finish. Simple but very drinkable, and well made.
