Cette bière de blé, de tradition belge, est rafraichissante avec ses arômes d’agrumes et de coriandre. La léonne est non filtrée, ce qui lui confère une texture et un côté voilé comme un bateau fantôme.

Draft at Vices et Versa, Montreal. Hazy straw color with a white head. Aroma of wheat, Belgian yeast, spice. Taste is wheat, citrus, Belgian yeast, faint clove, maybe a bit of banana. Decent.

AleRider78 (1713) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2016
Poured a pretty thin and spread out bubbly head. Has an extremely hazy appearance, sort of a mango/banana mix type colour. Citrus hops aroma, a hint of lemon and also a bit of banana. Flavours are fairly mild, yeasty, bananas, much subdued citrus flavours. Somewhat wheaty, light malts and notes of coriander. Has a thick yeasty mouthfeel. Good lacing. Not too bad. Not really my fave type of beer which makes this my least fave brew from Le Naufrageur, but still would enjoy over any swill any day.

Pours a cloudy straw, topped by a thick, fluffy white head showing great retention and lacing properties. Vivid, medium-sized carbonation. The nose is head-on cilantro, orange peel, flowers and muskmelon. The yeasts deliver a doughy background. The taste is more on the herbal side with grass and cilantro notes upfront, and doughy sour elements in the back. Gives off a cooked vegetables feature midway through the palate. Medium body through a creamy and airy feel. Leaves a vegetal aftertaste. Not the best white out there, but still drinkable. Cheers!

Veiled dark straw, almost golden color, with strong condensed activity. Foamy 2 finger white head lasting around 10 minutes with powerful legs. Aromas and flavors of citrus, fruits, grains, floral spices. Strong taste of sweet lemon and orange with undertones of coriander and saaz, slightly grassy but quite delicious. Slick light body with prickly carbonation. Crispy finish leaving a slightly bitter spicy floral and clove like feel on the tongue with a dash of sweet orange. Overall : Great craft; excellent flavors, good freshness, while the finish is a little thick and the citrus feel a little too strong.

How: Sample at Festival Brassicole de la Mauricie.

>>> Decent easy drinking but mildly soapy Wit with a nice fluffy mouthfeel.

+ The spiciness (coriander mostly) is moderate, which helps drinkability/enjoyability
+ The mouthfeel is fluffy and the carbonation is good
+ There’s a nice citrusy kick in the finish that add to the quenching character of the beer
There’s a mild soapy that is a bit of a turn-off

Flavors: Herbal, lemon, moderate spiciness, wheat

500ml Bottle. Super hazy Straw golden color. Thick head but the evaportation was quick. Aromas of fresh corriander, floral hops, yeast breadiness and orange zest. Smells great actually. Tastes very mellow and ripe. Wheat, corriander and orange zest. The downfall I can’t think of is the abscence of any aftertaste. This beer is anything from being dry. The aromas hyped me up but that was about it... I’d say average and a bit more maybe. Still worth drinking on a terrace with good friends!

Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of coriander, pepper and some sweet wheat. Taste is of wheat, really slight oranges and pepper. Body is full of proteins, smooth but not heavy. Medium carbonation. Overall an OK witbier.

Sample at Atlantic Beer Festival Moncton. Hazy very pale yellow color. Aroma is dusty, peppery, herbal. Taste is lightly spiced lemony straw. Light body.

Une excellente bière de blé d’inspiration belge. Elle possède des arômes d’agrumes bien présentent. On peut également détecter de la coriandre. Côté goût, c’est vraiment le blé et la levure qui dominent avec un zeste d’agrumes.

swiseman (542) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - MAR 9, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2014 extremely light in color. light body. taste of some citrus and possibly some spice. a decent wit, but a little on the boring side or I would have rated higher. Carbonation seemed overly high in the one I had even though it was from a bottle.
