Pours a dark brown with a big fizzy light brown head. Aroma is hazelnut, malt and booze. Taste is nutty malts, astringent and well carbonated. Tastes boozy. Alright but not great. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2011
[3855-20110802] 500mL bottle. Fragrant petal grains aroma. Clear, mahogany red body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Sweet roasted fruity plum dates flavour with a lingering sweet aftertaste. Medium-full body. Interesting to try. (6/3+/7/3/13) 3.2

The pour reveals a cloudy brown color with a thick, beige head. Nice aroma of caramel, chocolate, spices and yeast. Good flavor of caramel, chocolate, nutty malt and spices. The body is medium with a creamy texture and medium to lively carbonation. This is quite interesting, well done. Boutip (6380) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 19, 2011
Bottle: Poured a deep dark brown color ale with a nice large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and caramelized malt with light fruity ester is interesting though more powerful then expected. Taste is also an interesting mix between some brown sugar and medium caramelized malt with great fruity ester notes. Sweetness is well balance by some biscuit malt notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not for everyday drinking but well brewed.

Déstabilisante, excellente. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 12, 2011
2011-08-02. Very dark brown body with a nice foamy tan head. Dusty dark malt, bit tangy, touch of a strange not quite peanut buttter like character. 6+ Flavour is similar, dry roasty malt over a malty core, dusty notes, a bit tangy. Average plus bodied palate. Odd but okay. Bottle from Dep Peluso, Montreal pushkinwow (2793) - Ottawa, CANADA - AUG 4, 2011
500ml bottle. Dark mahogany with a slight mocha head. Roasted but slightly stale malt, smoke, nuts, some oxidization. Well carbonation, malty, bit thin, starts sweet and continues that way, finish is somewhat dry, bit grainy. Interesting. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 25, 2011

App.: Very deep mahogany with a decent fluffy off-white froth.
Aroma: Nutty, fruity malts, slightly minty and cola-like, somewhat earthy, dark dried fruits, brown sugar, fairly nice with a few iffy notes.
Palate: Medium+ body, limited effervescence.
Flav.: Darker than the nose, more like a stout, dark chocolate, black coffee notes, then the more Belgian fruity malts, touches of earthiness and nuttiness, some cola-like herbals, a bit...eclectic; almost dry with fair (inappropriate?) bitterness and a fairly long malty, minty, coffee and slightly boozy finish.
Not bad. Confusing. Or confused.
500 mL bottle. Dark brown with a film of beige head. Smells like cola and coffee. Only milder. The flavour is mild as well. Mostly caramel and chocolate malt. Nice hopping. Kinda hard to describe. But enjoyable. Nothing wrong with it.
