Bottle. Pours hazy brown with particles in suspension and one finger of moka coloured head. Aroma of roasted malts, spices, caramel. Taste is more of the same; along with tofee as well as a nice balance between the sweetness of the belgian yeast and a an agreable bitterness. jaseurboreal (23) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2015
Diogène (1214) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 29, 2009
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2009 Bottle. Dark reddish ale, with a medium creamy mocha head. Aroma is toasted and roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, herbal hops and fruits. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, a hint of coffee, raisins, herbal hops, and caramel with a touch of vanilla. Medium to full body. DerWeg (1774) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2010
Solid cap over clear dark red-brown body. Big grainy-malty aroma that plays into the taste with added vanilla and fig, GOOD. Tart and complex sweet fruit.

Sample at Vice et Versa in Montreal. Pours a reddish dark brown with thin tan head. Aroma has treacle, caramel. Taste is malty and layered, very pleasing, not too boozy. Very enjoyable. Metalchopz (3759) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 3, 2012
Purchased from the IGA in Hull, QC. Wow... this smells great !! Well-balanced between the fresh herbal hop and the caramel (sweetness)/roasted (burnt) malts. Deep copper-amber colour with a little ruby hue when light shinned through. Foamy beige head with good retention and lots of lacing. Average mouthfeel, easy to drink. The taste is not as powerful as the aromas, but still decent. Still malty, but milder, and the nice hop does appear in the finish, slightly lingering, creating bitterness and dryness. This is a really good strong brown ale (quite interesting and different). I very much enjoyed my first experience from this brewery. Can’t wait to try the others. 500 ml bottle purchased at IGA Quintal in Laval, on September 17, 2013. Dark brown, medium head. Malty aroma of salted nuts, a bit of citrus hoppy. Taste of herbs and salty nuts, pretty well hopped, bitter dry nuts. This brown hybridis a improvement in that style! rchataigner (21) - - AUG 4, 2017

Pours very dark brown/black with high beige head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, fruits, chocolate. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, fruits, soft bitterness, sugar. Palate: Medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good. Nice balance (sweet but not too much). Very crafty fruitiness from belgian yeast.
