33cl bottle. Hazy dark golden with a small white head. Plums, yeasty and herbal. I was expecting more but nice though. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 13, 2013
Totally clear, golden body with stable chalk white head. Aroma was not too expressive, maybe served too cold I admit, but revealed a fresh, herbal and plant like aroma, light cheesy yeast, quality pilsner malts and overall just a very summery appeal. Taste doesn’t suit me as much as the aroma does, being somewhat spicy, bit too herbal and a light funk. I can’t really get the fruit in this one, to be honest. Maybe it’s the heavy carbonation blowing CO2 at your nose or the dry, very light malts. Ginger like after taste. Not as nice as I hoped, but a decent drink nonetheless with a good aroma. Hazy light amber color. It has a delicate aroma of plums, and light fruit schnaps too. Good body, round mouthfeel; it still has a moderate residual sweetness, although the strong bitterness is prevailing; mild fruity character, with woody, a bit astringent final.
Not a bad beer, correctly brewed, but also fruit and bitterness don’t work well together usually.
courtesy of Laurent Mousson - pours a hazy dark blond beer under a solid long lasting white foam; nice lacework; yeasty with fair notes of prunes and hints of herbs; very tasty and generous; medium-bodied, creamy palate and with some herbal tartness; very long yeasty finish with more notes of prunes - very good again
