750ml bottle. Cork was ready to fly away as soon as I took off the cage. Light amber with a foamy white head. Slight haze. Flavors are apple flesh/skin, peach, leather and yeast with funky, earthy and mineral notes. Light body, lively carbonation, slick texture.

(Rating #7214)

Wow! Cork pops out with cage and big bang, and crazy sour aromas like Brett yeast was in there, throwing some funkiness. Hazy colour with a white top, seems to stay a small layer as carbonation is lively. Light apples, pear and earth in the nose. The taste is not as funky, thankfully. Mildly sour, mildly sweet with light fruity notes of apples. Seems like a real handmade cider, but not one that gets me going. Not a fan of funk and cider.

750 c&c from the Arden Whole Foods in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of funk and apple skins. Med body at least. Flavor starts funky in a nice way, moves on to apple and skin. It’s not really dry, but it is rather astringent. Perhaps not the best Norman cidre, but very enjoyable.

Pours cloudy yellow with a small white fizz. Aroma is funky apple a little farm and a little tart. Taste is again a little farmy green apple. Slightly tart, slight acidity. Moderate carbonation. Small bubbles.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of champagney notes, barnyard funk and dry leather. Flavour is very funky, with lots of champagne yeast, farmhouse funk and medium sweetness on the finish. Wonderfully constructed. Somehow the sweetness is prominent while the finish is bone dry. Excellent.

Hazy orange with a big quickly dissipating champagne head. Aroma is musty cork, earthy apples, some light vinous notes, and some funky apples and funky yeast. Effervescent mouthfeel, same carb. Finish is dry, lots of fresh apples skins, a perfect balance of sweet and tart, no additional sweetning detected, light yeasty funk, and earthy apples. Complex cider, nice stuff.

750ml bottle ’13 Vintage 1/5/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-40° in Lager Glass-Pours a slightly hazy light golden with no head. Aroma of champagne and apples. Taste of sweetness, apples , and champagne. This light bodied cider is not bad as it is nice and refreshing.

OldMrCrow (2435) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 12, 2014
2012 bottle from Cost Plus sampled November 2041.

Pours a hazy unfiltered cider brown into a thin-stemmed tulip. The nose is sour, funky, some apple of course, and a hint of the "perm smell" that mars Etienne Dupont in my opinion. The flavor is pretty dry and a bit more sour than expected upon first taste. It’s very wild, somewhat savory, certainly interesting. What kills this one for me is that it is almost flat. The result is a cider that feels heavier than it needs to. I am not as delighted as I had hoped.
