COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

It pours and unclear yellow to golden colored body and a small, off-white head. Rather weak aroma, with some pale malts. Resins, citrus and a touch of banana. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and pleasantly carbonated, with a decent bitterness. High for the style, but suiting the hop aroma and flavor. Pale malts, resins, citrus zest and a flowery, bananaish touch. Citrusy finish. A tad boring this one, but nice. 150611

A hazed amber weizen with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity banana malt with light cloves, floral hops, pleasant. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with loads of resinous citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, banana esters, cloves, very nice. On tap at Oktoberfest des Québecois 2015.

On tap at LTDP. Pours golden with medium-high white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of armpit sweat, yeast, fruits. Taste is of fruits, citrus, bitterness. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: OK. Nothing off.

Sampler at the brewpub. Pours a light golden and pretty clear for a weisse. On top there is a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of hops and pepper, clean and fun. Taste is of fruity and piny hops with some wheat but not in the usual hopfenweisse way and I can thank the brewer for that (I usually think there is too much going on in other hopfenweisses and white IPAs). Both body and carbonation were moderate. Really good, the best from my flight!

Rafraichissante.

On tap (12 oz) @ Le Temps d’une Pinte.

Appearance: Slightly hazy pale golden with a small creamy white head, decent retention and some lacing.

Aroma: Nice spicy and floral features along grass, bread, light banana notes, citrus/grapefruits and cereals.

Taste: Fresh cereals, moderate spiciness, floral and grassy notes, citrus and light banana notes. Quite bitter for the style.

Palate: Medium body. Good carbonation. Rather dry finish. Lingering bitterness.

Overall: Pretty good hopfenweisse. The heavy and lingering bitterness hinders the balance a bit, but the drinkability level is still very high. Tasty stuff.

A few pints on tap, at the brewpub. Hazy gold amber pour with creamy white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, pungent grassy and pink grapefruit aromas, light wheaty notes, mild fruity banana, nice ester profile, not too dominant. Taste is bitter, nice fresh hoppiness, light wheaty grainy flavors, bready, doughy. Palate is med bodied, good carbonation. Tasty hopfenweisse.

sample at la commission brassicole 2015 - st-casimir. hazy very light golden with a reviving white cap, some retention and lacing. wheaty pepper, lots of citrus - grapefruit peel , low-fi welcoming esters, some grain husks, fruitienss - pears, warming alcohol. average carbonation, light to medium body - oily; slightly unbalanced spicy-citrusy finish. not the most expressive hopfenweisse but everything is in the right place.
