Hermod (7864) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2016 Bottle from Saveur Biere. Labeled: Les quatre surfeurs de l’apocalypso. The beer poured golden color with a thick white head. Sharp lemony notes in flavor. Floral, lemony nose, malts, some tropical fruits. Grainy notes as well in flavor. Herbal hops and lemon dominates though. As the beer gets warmer, more spiciness appears. Medium bodied, ok dry finish, lingers. Actually gets better with every sip.

Bottle sample from notes. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, grass, grapefruit citrus, caramel, hops seem faded, not sure how old this was.

CacheManyHose (724) - HONG KONG - OCT 2, 2016
Drank at Matt’s parents’ in Ottawa. Bottle from Brouhaha. Cloudy orange with white head. Smells of orange, apricot, woody hop, slightly spicy caramel malt, booze, musty. Taste is medium bitterness, medium spicy acidic orange. Body is medium, citric fizziness, finishes a bit watery. Boozy musty orange + hop. Slight strong ale, almost yeast notes. Nice nose, taste is more flat.

Bottle from Brou Ha Ha at parents’ in Ottawa. Hazy golden orange pour with sticky white head. Aroma is citrus peel and dank tropical fruit with some pilsner malt underneath. Taste is tart citric bitterness with smooth honey malt notes. Nice mango and citrus peel flavors. Smooth palate with good carbonation. Finish is slightly bitter. Would get again.

How: tap Appearance: hazy golden, medium white head. Aroma: stone fruits, fresh yeast, prunes, some lemon and syrup. Palate: light body, average to high carbonation.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 16, 2016
Hazy amber color with lots of activity. 2 finger head that last a weak 5 minutes with faint lacing. Flavors of faint hops, floral, a little yeasty, caramel, and citrus. More like an Witbier style IPA with a soft delicate grassy hoppy feel with tropical fruits, well balanced. Great sharpness and freshness. The body is a little light with a well intensified medium strength finish. Quite delicious and overall highly drinkable. A sweeter and softer accessible IPA.

13.09.2016, tap (as Les 4 Surfeurs de L’Apocalypse) @ UNA:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, leafs, sap, hay, minerals, yeast, light malts, lawn, hops, moss, hints of dried fruits. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, leafs, bark, alcohol, sap, caramel, hay, flowers, yeast. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.
