Nonshaugen (613) - Fetsund, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2017
375 ml, bottle conditioned, BB Nov 28h 2017. Hazy, light golden amber, thin off-white head, medium carbonation, loads and loads of powdery, small and (unpleasant to me) big chunky sediments. Restrained aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. Mouthfeel is resiny, dry, bitter and well carbonated. Flavours of tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit and lemon. An average IPA, my first Canadian beer ever, and I dedicate it to my dear friend Jake Lane.

June 11, 2014 - at Mondiale 2014 - bottle sample. Hazy gold with a smallish fizzy white head. Floral and green sour fruit aroma - a bit catty; really appealing. Taste - floral and catty pungency - simple and just right. Average body - solid carbonation, a little astringent - nice long dry bitter finish - hint of Belgian yeast perhaps???

Bouteille 600 ml. Robe de couleur paille. Parfum qui mêle vanille, fruits tropicaux, grains, houblon, épices et fleurs. Moins convaincant au gout, mais se boit bien tout de même. Bon équilibre. Assez bonne carbonatation. Rafraichissante, bonne bière d’été. Très bonne dans son style.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Sandefjord. Hazy golden orange color, ok foam. Medium aroma intensity; caramel, hops, vanilla- aromas like an old stored DIPA. Medium body & complexity. Obvious sweetness- some bitterness, but not enough to balance it. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lys brun tåkete med høyt hvitt skum. Lukter grapefrukt, noe sydhavsfrukt og papir. Middels fylde og middels smak. Sitrusskall, brent karamell, honning og trevirke. Kort.

Corps jaune voilé avec une superbe et généreuse écume. Nez de citron, de pain, de houblon bien relevé. Bien amère en bouche, avec un fini lisse. Goûts : pamplemousse, menthe poivrée. Bien!

Nice golden color with a small head that quickly vanishes. Nice hop aroma that marches the taste. Very satisfying beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visual: (Their own bottle for their brewery, raised lettering and devil on the bottom, odd size 600ml). (Cellared for 2 years). Pours mildly hazy pale orange with lots of suspended sediment, a small 1cm slowly dissipating head, a thin layer of frothy retention, tight dense clusters of steady streams.

Nose: bright litchi, slight resiny wheat malt (lvl-5)-pungency

Attack: thicker-creamy crisp, bright grainy impression

Mid-palate: stealth soft bitter hops, (lvl-3-sweetness), grainy-prickly palate, litchi wheat malt, mild pear, bittersweet barley malt

Finish: lingering soft lengthy bitter hopped

Summary: Quite an interesting litchi-pear wheat malt IPA - Big engaging brightness mixed with a persistent yet nuanced hopped bitterness. My kind of an extremely drinkable IPA
