Bottle. Black pour with a tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate, simple but nice. Taste is a little roasty, chocolate, a little coffee. Balanced, rich and flavourful for the ABV.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a white to off white foamy head dissipates appropriately. Messy run about lace. The aroma starts off with a ruddy milk and dark chocolate blending with some candied dark fruits. Seems like there’s a subtle dried hoppy grassiness underneath. Light earthiness. The flavor brings together the previously mentioned aromas sweetly layered with a delicate roast underneath. Smooth bitter yet somewhat wet sort of dark fruity aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth feel to it. Low carbonation yields to the wet feel on my tongue. Overall, nicely done Baltic Porter that I would have again.

Opaque black with tons of glass clinging activity. Slightly creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with faint legs. Flavors of walnuts, cocoa, coffee beans, dark berries, cherries, dark grains, herbal spices. Thick sugary molassy feel, with bitter earthy spices. Slick oily medium body with prickly carbonation. Strong finish, a little dry and port like, tongue coating roasted dark malts, toffee and walnuts, with a (too) faint fruity barrel aged feel. Good freshness for the style. Tasty flavors and the finish is not excessive. Overall, for a Baltic porter, good quality craft.

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #29. Bottle shared at a tasting, 3/9/16. Dark brown, thin fizzy off-white head, decent retention. Aroma of chocolate and mild hops. The taste is chocolate, roasted malts, earth, nuts. Medium bodied, high carbonation.

Pours a quick dissipating brown head atop an opaque body. Nose of vanilla and chocolate. Flavour is smooth, sweet cocoa and coffee. Very tasty.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown black with a tan head. Quite a sweet, lightly grassy, toasty aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. A touch thin, with sweet dark fruit, lemon, coke, some cakey stuff... Fine, a bit dull.

Big, rich, dark, and very roasty with some subtle fruit, and woody sweetness. Rich mouth feel, good carb. Medium to high bitterness, roasty, semi sweet finish, with some coffee, and soy overtones.

Pour from bottle was pretty black, some mahogany edges when held to light, very thin head that dissipated quickly, near zero lacing, pretty subpar appearance for style. Aroma of licorice, dark fruits, faint chocolate. Flavor the same with some caramel and bubblegum, lacking roast/ash/smoke presence, Mouthfeel was light on carbonation but sufficient for the style, lightly sticky, smooth. Not a bad brew, not a standout in the style, though.

Bouteille, 660 mL.
