SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 23, 2010

Bottle. Pours hazy nearly black withairy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with fruity notes and touches of roast. Sweetish flavour of malt, caramel and fruit, with notes of yeast and roast, and bitter, hoppy touches. Roasty aftertaste with nutty notes. Medium body and medium to hogh carbonation. Not bad for a Baltic Porter made far away from the Baltic Sea!

CapFlu (5129) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 16, 2016
Pours a quick dissipating brown head atop an opaque body. Nose of vanilla and chocolate. Flavour is smooth, sweet cocoa and coffee. Very tasty.

Black. Still. Sharp dark malt and licorice scent. Malty. Sour tinge. Just a trace of alcohol.

Big, rich, dark, and very roasty with some subtle fruit, and woody sweetness. Rich mouth feel, good carb. Medium to high bitterness, roasty, semi sweet finish, with some coffee, and soy overtones.

Bottle from the brewery store, enjoyed in my hotel room in the beer wasteland of Havre St Pierre Quebec. Solid black color with a huge bubbly tan head with great retention. Rich chocolate with light fruitiness and somewhat of a dubbel profile. Tasty, but not quite what I was expecting.

Eructoblaster (4329) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 3, 2009
On tap at the pub. On tap at the pub. Pours an opaque black body with low carbonation and a lasting beige creamy head. Lovely, complex malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar, roasty, and fruity hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Well balanced taste. Texture is soft. Taste carries plummy, vineous notes. Ends with a long, warming bittersweet finish. Well done.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 14, 2015
600 ml bottle shared by Phil. Very deep brown with a fair mocha head. Very deep bread crust, light chocolate, somewhat nutty, vanilla, slightly oxidized, odd phenolic smoke. Medium plus body, full, fine carbonation. Messy...smoky, sweet, vaguely fruity, not deep or dark enough; off-dry with moderate bitterness and a sherry-like, slightly hot finish. Surprisingly poor for this brewer.

drpimento (3733) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Very well-balanced and super smooth. Flavor has some nice rosti and a bit of Toffee a little sweet up front and in the Finish but not overly so. Very nice finish.
