Nose: honey biscuity toffee barley malt, chamomile. (lvl-8)-pungency
Attack: soft crisp-thicker, heavy malt with alcohol impression
Mid-palate: honey toffee malt, (lvl-7-sweetness) with some alcoholic heat, chamomile, tangy apricot
Finish: woody honey exhale, residual malty bittersweet
Summary: Drinks good at 17.5°C. Good body and flavour, but the alcohol detection is on the invasive side, making it too heavy after multiple sips. Not quite as tropical as the description.

Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation.Light malts, dry and mildly sweet, touches of caramel and cream. Spicy orange and a little floral bitterness that has a perfumey edge. Pithy bitterish finish. Odd but not unpleasant.
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2017 This DIPA, with relatively high ABV, smells and tastes like a weak dry-hop. The alcohol is unfortunately very present in mouth. It gets slightly more interesting as it warms down since its fruity malts reveal themselves. Dubaï Pillée nonetheless still lacks more complex and enjoyable hops aromas. 600 ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with full head. Aromas of dough, light citrus and light pine. Flavors of bitter lemon, dry toasted malts, alcohol, and acrid dried fruit. Stale. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2016
Murky amber pour. Resin and hoppy pine cones with a bit of a malty base. Has a bit of ketchup chips or tortilla chips from the alcohol as well. Boozy beer that masks the other flavours. Hoppy and a bit of resin stickiness as well. Big beer that is boozy and sticky.
