Tmoney99 (14479) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 9, 2014
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour, floral and tannic wood aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer for style and great label.

750 ml bottle shared with Tmoney99 and wihorock. Pours a slightly hazy bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have nice fruitiness, vinous, wood, Brett, hay, some funk, great drinking beer. Some tart character and a splash of caramel. I could drink this all day. Thanks to kbudd19 for this treat.

Gift from Lindsey for Christmas! Recommendation from Bruce! Thanks buddies! :D Aroma: Sour - granny smith apple sour. Nice. Notes of barrel aging, sweet. Red wine. Appearance: Cloudy yellow, tiny white head. Palate: Thick bodied, creamy, fizzy, slightly astringent. Taste: Not as sour as it smells, but still sour. Quickly turns sweet and then tapers into subtle bitterness. Very well balance beer.

CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2013
Nose is almost ice cider - deep, tart, sweet, brown sugar and boozy. Great wild yeasty flavour, grape skin, white wine cask. This is very pleasing.

Gerbeer (3749) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours clear orange/brown with lots of carbonation but light head. Aromas of brett, oranges, and a bit of basement. Flavors of lemons/limes, wet wood, and sour green grapes. Tart start, somewhat creamy? finish.

neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2013
750 mL bottle at a Trou du Diable barrel-aged tasting at Volo, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy orange-golden with a small, off-white head that remains and leaves a small amount of lace. On the nose, there are notes of sour fruit, Brettanomyces, oak, white wine and subtle spice. The flavour is medium sweet and lightly sour with fruit and white wine grapes. The finish is surprisingly dry with spice, sour fruit and funk. On the palate it is medium in body with a milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, an excellent sour saison with nice wine barrel notes. 2013-05-25

Bottle from tom10101. Aroma is fairly fruity with pineapple and tropical fruit. Some pear and faint red apple notes as well. Moderate citrus notes and light acidity. Medium light peppercorn phenolic notes. Light graininess. Overall very fruity with a nice complexity. As it warms the wine character is a bit more present. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big pillowy, slightly off white head. Medium lack g with no legs. Head has really nice retention and a film lingers throughout. Flavor is a bit different from the aroma with a much more white wine forward character. Medium light acidity upfront welcomes in light oak tannins and medium oak notes. Flavor still has pear, red apple and tropical fruit but within the confines of a white wine barrel. Lingering tannins and white wine notes in the finish. Medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall a very enjoyable Saison. I found the aroma to be exactly what I am looking for in a Saison, but the flavor was a bit more wine forward than I would have liked. Nice fruity notes though with a balanced acidity and decent Brett character.

Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with lots of white tight fizzy foam. The nose is bright fruit, grape must, pineapple, dusty hay. The palate follows with a lot of tiny fizzy bubbles...brett funk, musty grape, stonefruit, dust and a touch of a lemon yogurt. Nice rustic grain backbone and a clean finish.
