2006 vintage - 9.5% ABV, subsequent batches 7.5% ABV.

Picked this one early December at Broue Ha Ha. I wasn't sure what to expect but this one remind me of the St Bernardus Christmas ale, which is one of my favourite. A must try in my book.

600ml bottle from SAQ, Gatineau, Quebec. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a small head that reduces into a film that lingers. Yeasty aroma is pronounced. Taste has some sweet malty flavours with some honey notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from the tap. Amber with off white head. Very light doughy caramel with some mild spices, banana, candy sugar. Simple, but enjoyable.

Tranquillity (2648) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 26, 2016
Draft at bar hop 2. Dark raisin body, small beige head. The aroma is raisin, cinnamon, malt. The body is light and bubbly. The taste has prunes, yeast and a good mellow undertone but could use a bit of a punch for a nicer finish to develop.

thorongil2 (3697) - , Ontario, CANADA - AUG 29, 2016
(tap) clear, bright red colour with a small pink head; aroma of spice, bubblegum, then honey; lightly sweet flavour with a long, light sweet finish

Kauge (2215) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 8, 2016
Tap at Bar Volo. Coppery, translucent orange. Small off-white head. Sweet, orangey, jammy and marmalady aroma. The usual BSA caramelly character as it warms. Sweetish fruity and caramelly flavour. Toffee, caramel, ripe banana, grains. Blandish malty finish. Spiced? Not getting much spices. Alcohol well covered. Not too attracted to this. A bit of a disappointment although it does open up and improve considerably as it warms. Should repeat, get my hands on a bottle perhaps.

Hidden_Pooch (518) - Stratford, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - APR 23, 2016
Pours a dark clear rusty amber with a small off white head. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, sugar, berries, and licorice. Tastes of toffee, candy, spices, fruit, and pepper. Has a smooth medium body with fizzy, peppery aftertaste.
