Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head and a bourbon and chocolate aroma. There is a carbonated treacle flavor with a delayed bourbon trail. DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Very dark pour, super-lively tan head. Aroma is full of hard roast, bitter chocolate, some licorice, with a touch of funk. On the palate, the funk becomes more evident, not dominating, but certainly assertive. Nowhere near the proportion in Bellwood’s Donkey Venom for example, but it is definitely here, and whether it is an infection or not, it made the drinking experience highly pleasurable. Panning through other top-raters, there are a couple of ratings that describe a light sourness, so I’m not the only one. Interesting and cool. A lightly soured BA impy! olio (10541) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2016
75 cl bottle (10% abv) @ ISKTR 2016. Bottled on 11.02.2016. BBE 02/2019.sebletitje (10293) - Enghien, BELGIUM - NOV 14, 2016
Pours clear dark brown color with a large head, a bit of a gusher. Chocolaty aroma, caramel, roasted malts, coffee and some alcohol. Flavor is spicy and malty, coffee bitterness, dark chocolate, subtle coconut, caramel and some faint licorice. Very strong carbonation, ruins a bit otherwise good package, alcohol comes through a bit also.
Bouteille 75cl, merci Pierre T.

My Bottom Line : GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 3, 2012
American oak greenness mounts this Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout’s roasted malt flavors, while banana candy, vanilla and flowers build depth.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam garnishes the blackness.
-The mouthfeel is soft and plush. Not too heavy, and not lean either.
-Roasted malts create bitterness alongside resinous hops and lingering oak flavors.
-Alcohol is a discreet presence in the flavor profile.
750mL thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours clear deep ruby. Small off white bubbles. Nose is savory, small smoke, baked cherries, dark chocolate. Taste is aerated, black cherry, minerally, small dark chocolate. Not so bad.

Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is fruit, roasted malt, light alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, light sweet with a rich vinous frothy alcoholic bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. An unusual bourbon barrel aged beer. A little fizzy and more vinous than expected, but a great beer nevertheless. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 26, 2012
[4225-20111231] Tap. Roasted dark fruity raisin aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Chocolate roasted wood nut flavour has a long roasty aftertaste. Full body. Tasty, drinkable. (8/3+/8/4/17) 4.0

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, cocoa, nice bourbon, hints of oak into a bit of earth, some coffee into some yeast. Taste is a mix of cocoa powder, toffee, some molasses, touch of dark fruit into nice oak, vanilla, hints of bourbon into a bit of slight toast, finishing slightly dry, slightly sweet.
