UPDATED: DEC 27, 2013 Bottle 750ml.
Pours black, with low beige head, featuring good lacing. Aroma is of malt, coffee, bourbon. Taste is of roasted malt, coffee, bourbon, wood. Nice balance: Overall: quality stuff, pretty good. [Note: The last bottle I had had clear bretts notes, and was a tad funky. Very good too.] Zlotta (3407) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - SEP 4, 2016
Sampled from 0.75 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Hazy, very dark red to black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, some coffee, vanilla and some oak. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty taste of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and some oak, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

750ml bottle, dark brown color, with a big bubbly tan head, nice sweet cocoa powder, yeasty, fruity, light vanilla, subtle grated coconut, chocolatey, coffee nose, with a mild grainy roasted, chocolate, black, toasted malt, chocolate icecream accent, and strong liquorish bourbon aged barrel aroma when the beer warm, follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a warmth, yeasty, fruity, smooth bourbonish woodiness, vanilla, grated coconut, chocolate cake, fruitcake, brownie, brown chocolate, dried fig, raisin, date character, with some brown sugar, cookie dough, light plum juice, light roasted, chocolate, black, toasted malt, and a kind of cola flavours, leading towards a warming fruity, yeastiness, liquorish bourbon barrel, vanilla, coconut, chocolatey finish. Pours dark, unclear coffee in color with an easily dissipating grayish cocoa head, from the barrel aging. The aroma gives a bit of infection - wild yeast, and some roasted malts. The body is also thin, from the barrel aging I assume, and some flavors of for me, again, lightly infected yeast notes with carmel and roasted malts. markoijelena (3143) - Belgrade / Amsterdam, SERBIA - OCT 13, 2016

Aroma quite flat with some hints of chocolate. Taste of candy sugar, caramel, roasted malt, some pinch of coffee, yeasty pretty much, medium body, slick feel, sticky, soft carbonation, bitter finish. 750ml bottle, thanks to tom10101, brewed March 2012. Dark brown with a blended mocha head that gradually settles to leave a nice layer across the glass. Semi-sweet and roasted malts, oddly enough a bit of salt, smoked trout, espresso, some light bourbon and oak, things are a bit muted overall. Moderate carbonation, slightly strange body which is both light and medium in nature (might be the affect of the bourbon aging), mild sweetness that disappears quickly to leave more of a bitter taste that becomes dry, leaving some cocoa, malts, peat and espresso.
