(tap) hazy yellow colour with a small white head; aroma start light and fruity, then turns sour; balanced flavour, bit fruity, long light bitter finish

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely grassy hops upfront, with a light herbal quality, and floral quality. Flavour is along the same lines, with grassy notes dominating. Fairly one-dimensional but that one dimension is very nice. Lots of bite on the finish. Very nice pils.

110715. I couldn’t tell by reading the label what style this beer was as everything was written in French. Turns out that it is a Kellerbier which explains the clear golden amber colour and soft white head that quickly collapsed. The label is a work of art in itself and I picked up bought this 500ml bottle from The Wine Emporium, Newstead. While I would not say that I am this beers greatest fan it did impress me. Felt like it had more alcohol in it than the 5% stated on the label. A touch grassy in the aroma and a bit thin the body but I have had worse beers.

Pours clear pale straw with two fingers of fluffy white head, excellent retention and good lacing. (4/5) Nose is pale crackery malt, grassy, herbal. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, mild bitter. (7/10) Light body, moderate carbonation, clean dry finish. (4/5) Nice - a kellerbier variant on pilsener. A little more body, texture, and depth than a straight-up pilsener, but still light, crisp, and clean. (14/20)

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2015 Pours a hazy straw showing lively carbonation and topped by a frothy off-white head showing great retention and lacing properties. The nose is lemon, herbs and a grainy backbone. The taste kicks off with the herbal hops giving some lemon and follows with nice grainy malts. Medium body, nice carbs, some mineral elements giving some tartness through the light finish. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Cheers!

500ml bottle. Pale golden pour with a billowy and wispy beautiful white head that rises out of the glass like a towering inferno before settling down to a nice frothy layer on top of the beer. Light caramel malts, grains, some grass and light herbal hops, moderate carbonation and light body, slightly sweet with a hint of lemon rind on the palate which becomes somewhat bitter and dry on the finish.

January 12, 2015 - on draught at Bar Hop. Hazy pale gold with an average off-white head. Aroma - quite clean and crisp - heather ’n honey, definite noble bitterness with some light mineral character (7-). Taste - would be a good intro to craft beer for your die-hard Blue or Canadian drinkers - very light grassy bitterness, plenty of sweetness to soften the flavour hit for swill drinkers, but still quality - could use MORE grassiness for me, but I’m not the target audience. Average body, slightly slick, mild carbonation, quick finish with plenty of honey sweetness in the finish - real damned honey.

600 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a thick, creamy, white head. Grainy aroma with citrus, grass and yeast. Sweet citrus flavour with grain, yeast and a mildly bitter, dry, grassy, hoppy finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Where and how: on tap at Volo
Aroma milder nose, with grainy feel. Mild citrusy hop profile noted behind. Malty finish.
Appearance :
Top: lighter white top.
Base: hazy gold.
Palate : proper, clean, mid bodied.
Taste: Grainy, slightly husky. Gentle tartness on side ends. Soft walls. Aromatic hop with Keller bier vibe.
