COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

In short: The ultimate uber-dry session Belgian blonde ale.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy yellow body topped by a long-lasting small white head
In long: Nose is like walking in a countryside field with a lemon skin under the nose. Something really “rural” here. Taste has a lot of crisp of cereals, dry flowers, countryside sensation, dry lemons, dry grass. Mild-medium grassy bitterness and very high dryness level. This beer is uber-dry. It was a pleasure to drink while eating Trou Du Diable exceptional food. An experience I would repeat every day if I could. Because studies have determined that if you eat well, exercise regularly and don’t abuse alcohol, you will die anyway.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2013 On tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma is heavily laden with citrus - lemon peel and belgian yeast, some honey quite the refreshing smell. Taste is mildly tart with strong belgian yeast astringency - This beer oscillates between being mighty fine and just a bit too dry, I can’t make up my mind... Palate is very full and carbonation is lively. Re-rate: this is fucking awesome. Lively berry aroma, very fruity, taste is sweet, not bitter bit finishes dry. Very good.

My Bottom Line:
Doughy yeast yields a nice farmhouse character to this dry Belgian-style Ale, as plantane esters lift citrusy and spicy hop varieties to heavenly realms.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the cloudy blond.
-This beer seems to be a cross of Taras Boulba and Dernière Volonté. A lovely idea, if you ask me. One that needs to be bottled too...
-Aroma, flavor profile and finish are all levelled.
-The prickly effervescence might be overwhelming to some since the dryness makes it more apparent to the palate.
-Herbal hop bitterness is of medium length, suiting the brew’s generous but never aggressive flavor intensity.

On tap at the brewpub.

Clear golden with a frothy white head. Medium carbonation. Sweet honey malt aroma. Crisp malt texture with a malt clove flavour. Nice enjoyable ale.

Pours a light straw golden yellow with a small white top. Aroma is cereal malts with a sweet yeasty profile. Taste is nicely delicate with light malts, dry yeast. Such a unassuming beer that you don’t know you love it until it’s done.
