COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tasting at Matt’s; 6.5% ABV
Hazy blond color, small head. The aroma is very grassy, a bit earthy, like a good Lager/Pilsner. The mouthfeel is smooth and very dry; powerful crispy malts; the bitterness is strong, it has a grassy character, lightly fruity, although the bitterness in the final is a bit too strong.
Excellent.

On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2015. Light hazy amber with a billowy white head. Peach, mango, wheat and maybe some light rye, some resin, moderate body and carbonation, but of dryness and more citrus on the finish along with mint and lemon.

Bottle to flute Spruce, pine, grapefruit, a little peach, and pepper. Hazy light amber with particulates and a 1 cm frothy white head. Taste is pepper, pine, malt, loads of grapefruit and great lingering bitterness.

UXO (1896) - CANADA - OCT 18, 2015
Appearance: hazy straw with two fingers of fluffy off-white head, good retention and patchy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: pine resin, citrus, caramel malt, tropical fruit, slight catty and woody. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, decently crisp medium duration finish. (4/5) Maybe I’ve been overdoing it on the IPA’s lately, but this doesn’t seem all that memorable. It’s nice and all, but it just seems to lack a certain brightness or punch. Good, and this is the second time I’ve had it, but I don’t think I’ll bother again. (15/20)

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2015 Bouteille de 600ml. Couleur ambrée, trouble, épaisse mousse blanche avec dentelle. A: pin, terre, agrumes, malt pâle. G: pamplemousse, terre, houblon US... Avec une finale caractéristique des bières du TDD, sucre/levure. P: modéré, un peu huileux avec effervescence médium-elevée. Rafraîchissant, bière d?été.

Had this on "tap" at the local beer store, in a Growler. Truly enjoyed. Very good IPA, not the normal strong after taste. It’s truly a summer beer, as it has that refreshing taste to it.

Wow, an excellent IPA. Big nose of pine and citrus. Nice head and beautiful lacing with lots of retention. Flavour is tropical and citrus hops with nice bittering and pine notes. Also has a splash of white pepper and a good crisp finish. I would visit this beach again.

2015-08-09. Lightly hazy dark yellow body with a big white head and lace. 3++ Aroma of sweet lemon, grassy notes and pale malt. Flavour is pleasantly bitter throughout, lemon and grass over pale malt base. Flavourful, the modest malt core let’s hope shine. 7++ Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft effervescent carb. Pretty nice and quite drinkable. On tap at Bellwoods, Toronto.
