COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draft at brewpub. Bright gold. Aroma is rich citra, deep and resinous with that lovely cat pee. Nutty pale malts add a little sweetness to what is otherwise a resiny hoppy yum. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In short: A refreshing fruity blonde IPA with a assertive bitterness
How: Draught at Mondial de la Bire 2011
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The hoppy nose has a tropical fruits, some grass and some cat urine (I get that from Citra hops). Taste has a very nice crisp crackers-like pale malts body with a whole lot of refreshing tropical fruity and floral hops. Rather high bitterness level but it doesnt detracts from the drinkability of the beer with most flavors being the of refreshing type. SMaSH stands for Single Malt and Single Hop, maybe theyll get along and go out on a date together.

On tap. Cloudy copper with a big white head that leaves a good lace. Spruce, citrus and spice on the nose. Fresh citrus fruit and a touch of spice on the palate with a good bitter finish.

Sample at Mondial 2011.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with a small head.
Aroma : Sharp herbal hops with crisp bready malts. Nice floral notes.
Taste : Leafy and citrusy hops. A bit herbal too. Great malt. Finish has notes of passion fruits and crisp leafy hops. Very hoppy.
Overall : Very hoppy for such a low abv beer. Sharp bitterness but lots of malt to balance it. Quite resinous. Very well made.

On tap at le mondiale 2011. Reminds me very much of the dubai just a little dialed back. Good citrus hops and a good maltiness that doesnt take away from the wonderful hoppiness. Very dry bitter finish, a good ipa.

A blonde IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a super fragrant floral hops, catnip, menthol, super american. In mouth, a super fragrant ale with biscuitty malt, very smooth, discreet catty hops, very nice. On tap at Mondial 2011, June 10, 2011.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice foamy head with ok retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus is dominant and quite enjoyable with nice floral undertones. Taste is dominated by citrus notes with bitter finish offset by some floral notes. Dry caramel malt body is present though doesnt interfere with the hops profile. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed and interesting to taste the Citra hops directly.
